2023 GEICO High School Boys Basketball Nationals schedule​

The 2023 GEICO Nationals kicked off on Thursday with three first-round upsets.

Ja'Kobe Walter (Baylor) erupted for 34 points to help No. 4 Link Academy defeat No. 5 St. Paul IV. No. 6 IMG Academy got the upset train rolling over No. 3 Prolific Prep, with Blue Cain (Georgia Tech) going for 21 points.

No. 7 AZ Compass used a balanced attack to edge out a win over No. 2 Long Island Lutheran, while potential 2024 No. 1 pick Matas Buzelis (G League Ignite) led No. 8 Sunrise Christian to a dethroning of the reigning national champions, No. 1 Montverde Academy.
