Eli entered the league in 2004 while Flacco entered in 2008.

After Chipper Jones in the National league and A-Rod in the American League beltre has been a top tier 3rd baseman.

Namath never gets in without winning a SB in a game they were dominated but somehow won. he was flashy and had some big games but was not a HF qb playing in NY did that for him

I'm biased but I think McNabb was just as good as any in the others receiving votes category, and I'm not saying he's better but there's at least an argument to be made for him vs. all those guys in that category.

Ya I can tell you as a Philly resident [but I think this extends nationally too] he is just the anti-Iverson in that it's way cooler to hate him than like him. Guy who falls down on every driving layup just has so much more heart than guy who smiles.
Hard to quibble with too much honestly. Eli is definitely the one that doesn't belong.
