Includes the necessity of having great talent and great leadership. A lot of talk today about how Scoop is a great leader and the only one we have on our team. That is amplified anytime you see KJ sulking as he was accused of doing yesterday. Scoop all year has been optimistic and encouraging, despite his personal numbers. His leadership is a prime reason we are undefeated. It certainly helps that Dion looks up to him and feeds off of his attitude. 09 we had AR, AO, WJ - great kids and leaders. 02-03 we had KD and a bunch of great kids to follow. 1999-00 we had JH, ET, etc.
Despite talent, a team really needs a player to epitomizes the coaches on the floor. Similar to the NBA, players gravitate towards each other. Players like Kobe and Wade make others around them better because they demand excellence. Like 09-10 this is a special year. Hate to look to next year, but we better appreciate it while its here, because, I don't think we will have anyone next year who can be that great leader for us. Hopefully, BT turns into one. I really like when its your lead guard!
