I think JB was working on various combinations of players. Besides, second-stringers often do better if there is at least one starter working with them.i guess my only problem here is that i absolutely HATE to see players like kris joseph (ice cold anyways) coming back into the game late second half when we're up 40 and it's clearly decided. the risk of losing our leading scorer to a freak injury in a blowout game clearly outweighs any benefit (or stat padding) i can see.
i thought the mookster.fair and dirty dix could and should have finished up at the 3 and run rak ragged at the 4 til scrub time. or maybe try 3 guards and two bigs to see how that works.
the second half was basically a scrimmage anyways. why take any chances?
Is he completely in the doghouse or is he hurt? He didn't even play last night in a complete blow out.

Orange, I agree about KJ on offense. I think he is playing pretty well on D (lately at least). Part of this with KJ is probably just the general inefficiency of our offense right now. We need more sets and less one on one attempts...
By conference time, it is likely that MCW and Southerland will drop out of the rotation as well, so Mookie will have some company on the pine.
Boeheim has said in the past that he always asks the scholie players if they want to go in prior to inserting the walk ons in garbage time, and they almost always say no.
JB is tinkering with his combinations right now, and Mook isn't in the mix. By conference time, it is likely that MCW and Southerland will drop out of the rotation as well, so Mookie will have some company on the pine.

ha nope not from someone here, i was the one they randomly give the upgrade to and then put on the video board with otto. he hogged my spot light..i was about to make orange slices with himhow did you get the seat upgrade? From someone we know on this board Nice story about Mookie...
I will resspectfully disagree wtih you here. I think MCW will be part of the rotation all year. With Southerland, it will depend on if he ever stops rushing his open looks and starts knocking them down. If he does not, I do not see much PT in his future.
Dick, I tend to agree with your statement. JS should see a few minutes, same with MCW although he has improved last few games. Scoop, BT, and Dion get almost all back court minutes unless one is really off. CJ and KJo dominate 3 and 4 spots (JS gives them a few minute blow periodically) with Xmas in for a few minutes to start (maybe only 1st half).
As for Mook, yeah, it sucks to be #11. However, good for him for hanging in there. Maybe he has fun at practice with the guys. Nothing against the walk-ons, but almost embarrassing for Mook to be sent out with all the walk-ons with 1 or 2 minutes left in a blow out. Would have been nice for him to come in for a few minutes during second half last night with the regulars, given the score.
What's good for Mook is that he is earning his degree from a prestigious university (while on scholly), which is much more valuable to his future.
