These offenses aren't good...

Second verse...same as the first. This game is terrible. Noone can score a touchdown? Maybe if they played a third time...

I don't care how good the defenses are.

Did you happen to see what LSU did to Oregon's vaunted offense? Held them to something like 260 until Oregon scored on a 70 yard drive against LSU's second team at the end of the game.

There are probably 8-10 first round picks playing on the defensive side of the ball right now. Hell, LSU has 2 sure fire first rounders at corner.

The defenses are that good.

That was the first game of the season. Would have been nice to see them play now.

is oregon's defense good? LSU had less than 300 yards against them

these offenses weren't all that impressive playing outside the tough sec

These teams scored 35-40 a game against everybody else.

Yep...just hard to run their stuff against all those defensive NFL picks on both sides plus the familiarity of both teams. They would score 40 on Stanford or Oklahoma St.

LSU got here with defense, an elite one at that. Although, while they were only 60th in total O, they were 12th in scoring. In fact they were over 35 in every game except for Bama and Miss St.

This may not be an exciting game for you all, but appreciate the talent on the defensive side of the ball. It's unreal.

they do score a ton on defense and special teams, which limits your offensive output

but still, i still don't think their offenses are good. until they have a playoff, i want teams from different conferences

In 2006-2010 the oppoents of the SEC teams averaged scoring 25 points per game less than their season average.

that still doesn't mean their offenses are good.

And I don't want to hear anybody pass this off as "you don't understand good football if you don't like this game". Or "you don't need lots of points to appreciate a good football game"

This game sucks thus far. It's 12-0 now and if Bama kicks a three or scores a TD America will turn off their TV in droves and go to bed before the 3rd quarter ends.

That's assuming they had it on in the 1st place.

I agree. This is painful. Thankfully Georgetown/Cincy is at least entertaining

Good night Irene.

i dont get why a good play by a defender is boring but a bad play by a defense is exciting? there is a huge difference from players missing blocks, dropping passes, throwing bad passes and having defenses make plays one-on-one or making plays in space.

if this was SU playing people would be in love with the team every week.

Im sorry, I truly believe any team in the top 25 could move the ball better than LSU is. This is ridiculous.

Nice pass, Jefferson. I'm sure it is just Bama's d that forces him to suck.

kicker has a dead leg. Time for a reliever. This is horrendous. They just channeled rob spence

If SU had Alabama's D, I would certainly be all in on defense wins championships. Other than the Ga Southern game which was obviously a little letdown flukeish, they didn't give up more than 14 points in a game all season. 14!

Even if every single SEC offense is terrible with players who couldn't play for anyone else in the country, you'd think one of them could score more than 14 points.

Their defense is unreal. Some monster DL or LB, or freak athlete DB makes a big play, then goes right to the sideline and is replace by another guy who's just as good.

And, for the record, if any SU coach ever tries to win with the Alabama formula, they shouldn't return the next season. Can't happen here without a whole lot of cheating in the recruiting process. Like SEC X 5,000 level cheating.

You know your national championship game is a stinker when....

The kicker is the MVP of the game

College football is so corrupt. SEC plays by a completely different set of rules then the rest of the country.
