Things we need to see vs WMU

No sacks. WMU mustered one vs St Francis

How the run D does against a better opponent. WMU had a ton of rushing yards against St Francis.

Continued spreading it out and the space and pace offense to continue.

And then my probable unrealistic expectations
50+ points
550+ yards
Hold WMU to 10 points or less points

Shrader showing arm strength which he didn't have against gate.
OL protecting
More of the transfer running back
Snaps for Gilbert
Snaps for Hatcher
Snaps for Bama as WMU likes to pound the ball

Same formula as last game.

Solid offensive execution, put the game away early.

Incremental improvement from OL now that they have a game under their belts.

Continuation of the strong WR play.

Millions of subs -- capitalize on this being a second tune-up game before shiz gets real.

No injuries.

I'll also add -- more fans in the stands.

I want to see clear holes in the run game. RB not getting touched until 2nd level. Less broken plays by Shrader and more pocket passing on time.

I want to see our blitz continue to confuse the hell out of a QB.

I was actually thinking that whole 1st paragraph. Those are the main things for me.

After week 1, we’re #3 in total offense and #2 in total defense.

After week 2, I’d like to be #1 in both. Not to be greedy.

Kinda surprised given all the other drubbings in week 1

Offensively, continue tempo less penalties up enough so we see Mr Del Rio
Defensively, continue aggressive mind set
Special Teams, less penalties returner’s decisions
Team, do what your supposed to do against lesser opponents

I don't agree with the first. He only underthrew one ball by my count. I think his arm strength was fine.

A fair catch on a punt.

He floated alot of throws

That doesn't necessarily equate to arm strength. Could be just from his calculation on how best to get the ball to the WR.

The bubble screens absolutely need to have more zip. That is indisputable. We seemed to have similar concerns with dungey in 2018 and noticed a huge improvement when Tommy would relieve him.

And if you're talking about the throw to Gadsden, it wasn't even really an underthrow, it just wasn't thrown with any loft, which made it easy for the DB to make a play on it instead of allowing Gadsden to run under it.

He had a ball to Hatcher where Hatcher shredded his guy off the line, if Shrader got the ball out in front of him it’s 6. Against Colgate it was still a catch but against a team with P5 speed it’s likely a breakup.
