Really, let's go back all the way to the 2012-2013 school year.

Football 8-5, Pinstripe bowl, ended the year playing like a top 20 team.

Basketball 30-10, Final Four

Lacrosse, 16-4, National Final, #2 Ranking.

This year, all three programs are nowhere close to that level of performance.

And the seeds of this were sown years before Wildhack became AD. All of the signs (outside of lacrosse) point to brighter days.

And that was a banner year. Pretty rare at *any* college and generally not sustainable.

Leak to the press through unreliable third hand sources that I believed chaos is a good governing strategy. Fire everybody, or at least anybody who has spent their career in athletics and actually knows something or is well connected. Publicly announce that the departures are the result of fundamental differences in core beliefs and replacements having impeccable credentials and above all else are loyal to the new grand vision of the greatest AD the world has ever known, me, are being onboarded as we speak. Hire no one. Give myself an astronomical raise, private jet service, ridiculous housing stipend, filthy wardrobe, travelling mini-bar service, and insanely hot escorts. Call a press conference every three months and open and close by telling everyone I'm the greatest AD ever and this puny little so-called University and everyone connected to it would shrivel on the vine and die without me. I would answer no questions.

That's what I would do, but I've heard it's already been tried. Results are inconclusive.
