This is

the way the world ends. Not with a bang, but a whimper.

You know I respect ya go but it's a bit early for this proclamation when the offense was a disaster against the only team with a pulse so far. Hopefully your right but I might have waited until after tomorrow's game before comparing seasons. Either way tomorrow will go a long way to see how this season plays out.

7 points against Rutgers at home

Doesn't bode well for the future, could be a rough few weeks if we don't get something done the next two weeks. I am already on record that Babers is unlikely to survive, to many issues have become recurring and are constantly plaguing this team.

...the end. My only friend, the end.
My first thought was to post this, with lyrics and the Apocalypse Now vid. However. I posted PFF talent grades, indicating we have the #2 defense, and #2 running offense in the ACC.

Liberty is a D@mn good team. We have some issues, but there is statistical evidence that we can outmatch them. On TALENT. Whether we reach that potential? is the Game. (play calling/penalties)

My hope here, is that we can keep this thread positive come late tomorrow night. Please don't make me post that Vid... Go Orange!

Right.

Because GoSU96's posting track record on the state of the state with respect to football is so similar to RutgersAl's pollyannaish nonsense.

Over the last week…..

His interview this week already has a built in excuse if we lose. We were missing some cats.

From your lips GoSU96

I hope beyond hope we perform tonight. If the next few weeks are tough, the next few months will be brutal.

2001 is the blueprint. Minus the future hall of famer. So, lower ceiling.

Which QB is better suited to play the RJ Anderson role? I’d say Schrader for the big, strong runner, but Tommy for keeping the turnovers low.
If Devito was the qb on that team, they aren’t losing to gt and probably take out Tennessee.

Instead of pointing out why this could be inaccurate?

We have the #2 graded running offense, and the #2 defense in the ACC. Is there a saying about great defense, or a great running game?

*I reserve the right to be drinking by the 3rd Q, if its not going well.
without exception...
I just hope we're not getting lit 10 minutes into the first

So you are saying this can snowball into something that can catch fire?

Joking aside. To use Dino's cake analogy' we have some really good ingredients (defense, run game). I'm just not sure Dino knows how to bake.

It. Don’t remember who sang it: but there is a line that goes something like, make no mistake. Sounds appropriat.

It’s a hesitant declaration, like being mid thigh at Fair haven or Lourdes camp before taking the plunge
RF2044 made a similar declaration early in 2018. We started 4-0 and expectations spiked. Unfortunately, after we suffered back to back (although close) road losses to Clemson and (putrid) Pitt, I posted that he was full of it.

We proceeded to win out (except ND), including a bowl victory over WVU. It was the best season we had had in 20 years, and I was compelled to send a groveling, apologetic DM admitting that he had been onto something the whole time and I didn't have the vision to see it coming.

Not making that mistake again.
