C’mon. Freeman’s had three double doubles, and was ACC frosh of the week. He’d start.
Yeah, that’s why I’d want him on my roster next year.

This is the most concerning aspect for me. The staff brought in a bunch of guys who have proven they don't offer much on the defensive side of the ball. Then they bemoan the defensive play.Bingo.
There wasn't one single thought of defense when this roster was constructed.
Wouldn't your first move be to surround the worst defenders we've seen in decades who are eating 60+ minutes per game? No, Carlos and then you grabbed a center who can't move to defend the guards that are burning by these bum defenders?
We have to score 90 to win.
So build the team around Carlos’ immense talents?I don't know - Red just gotta keep fiddling with the rotation. Shift the narrative over from absolute disaster to just a plain old disaster.
Anyway, once Red gets the right 4 guys to put out on the court - the ones that can truly complement Carlos' skill set this team could really take off. Until then, we just gotta be patient and trust the process. We'll be better prepared next time as we learn to adjust to JJ's absence.
LGO!!!!!
Fortunately the ACC is hot garbageSome big name opponents are coming to the Dome this year. We'll have 3 or 4 pretty big crowds. Casual fans will want to see Duke, North Carolina and Georgetown.
I’m trying to understand what everyone sees in Petar honestly. I don’t get it.I am deeply concerned for the program’s future. Cut bait with everyone but Petar and Moore. Add the freshman plus three transfer. Please look to the Ivy league for a few decent role players. Open the bank for a point guard or have a plan to put another skilled ball handler with JJ. Most of all show me a plan of how you want to play. This season is lost and there are only a few guys who will be back. This is a tough situation for any coach.
Called this season being the worst these no it all fans thought they'd never see but probably deserve.Outside of Moore and the potential of Freeman there’s no other positives to speak of. Starling or not what we saw tonight was absolutely inexcusable. The defense we have seen under Red for the first 40 or so games of his tenure has been absolutely atrocious. You can lack talent, but there’s zero excuse to not compete defensively.
Mostly agree. Maybe in two years he’ll be good, but right now he’d foul out covering a potted plant.I’m trying to understand what everyone sees in Petar honestly. I don’t get it.
He’s a Fresh and he tries. No one is saying we’re gonna win a Natty with him but if we can keep him around a few years maybe he turns into a reliable guy off the bench that can really help the team.I’m trying to understand what everyone sees in Petar honestly. I don’t get it.
His skill is underwhelming but his effort and willingness to hit people back is appreciated. Also a sad commentary on our program that those two traits don't exist for all players.I’m trying to understand what everyone sees in Petar honestly. I don’t get it.
The effort. But he might set a record for fouls per40. Sidibe was elite at that, but he was a legitimately solid player when he was on the court.I’m trying to understand what everyone sees in Petar honestly. I don’t get it.
I haven't seen it either. Comes in, spins around a bunch on defense so I guess he looks active but he's really just lost. Dude won't be ready until at least his junior year if he ever is.I’m trying to understand what everyone sees in Petar honestly. I don’t get it.
Dude had more accidental offensive rebounds and quick putbacks than anyone I've ever seen. The effort. But he might set a record for fouls per40. Sidibe was elite at that, but he was a legitimately solid player when he was on the court.
Bless your heart.I’m gonna stir the pot. What if Autry and this roster are just mediocre this year like last year and not a disaster?
The prime 4 guard stuff from Nova was 20 years ago. Now most high major teams have bigger guys who can shoot and provide more floor spacing than more conventional PFs couldn while still being as efficient on offense as someone like Allen Ray or Mike NardiJust to be clear Petar isn’t a stud but it would be nice to have at least two guys return. Also a second year and he will have a better feel for the speed of the game here.
Why can’t Anthony and Moore both start? Jay Wright always played three guards, sometimes 4. Put the best 5 out there regardless of position.
Kiyan will be a 3 IMO.Just to be clear Petar isn’t a stud but it would be nice to have at least two guys return. Also a second year and he will have a better feel for the speed of the game here.

Four guards would require someone like a Josh Hart or Paul Harris type. I fully expect White to be the bigger forward. His defense and athleticism will be huge additions. I really want a 3 who can dribble and pass. Kiyan would be perfect there. Find a transfer point guard and a center to put around Moore, Anthony and White and you might have a chance. The prime 4 guard stuff from Nova was 20 years ago. But you are right Anthony and Moore both need to play next year
Hustle. Effort.I’m trying to understand what everyone sees in Petar honestly. I don’t get it.
I was thinking, as the ACC in general has been the weakest major conference by a wide margin we have as good a shot as almost the rest of the field to have a winning record. Somebody has to win when we play other ok teams, why not us. We do have some skilled guys. Some big name opponents are coming to the Dome this year. We'll have 3 or 4 pretty big crowds. Casual fans will want to see Duke, North Carolina and Georgetown.
Yeah that is it. Sadly that is where we are in the program. He plays like he wants to be out there.Hustle. Effort.
I would rather watch competitive & high IQ kids than spoiled kids or headcases or 'talented' kids without grit.Yeah that is it. Sadly that is where we are in the program. He plays like he wants to be out there.
