Time to Put Up or Shut Up

Real good job with that article.
I would say it doesn't matter where we are ranked at this stage and I don't care who moved ahead of us. These things are transitory and will take care of themselves.
Christmas isn't ready to play good defense -- it was obvious in other games (usually in the last 10 minutes) that teams could go at him and score inside. But he will learn and he will add to his game at the offensive end. On defense, we have to rebound better as a team -- our guards are tough, our forwards have to compete on the boards. No more playing soft and looking for run-outs.
Really good thing that JB was getting Christmas minutes in every game to bring him along.
What really matters, though, is getting better as we get into the back half of February. To get better, we need all three guards playing well (BT had his best game in a while last night), and improvements from our spares (Fair & Southerland).

Like the fact that it points out the opposing teams total records since I knew it was something like that but too lazy to do the leg work.

I think had we lost, but it was known Fab was returning, we wouldn't have seen such a drop in the polls. Still, putting Cuse behind Ohio State is mind boggling. It has become sort of a soapbox for me to point out that the Big Ten isn't that good despite the pollsters repeatedly trying to sell us that thay are.

I don't know why he just compares OOC games. Why not the entire schedule so far?

It was annoying in past years when ESPN used to do it around tourney time and it's annoying again now. It glosses over teams in better conferences. It cheapens and glosses over tough conference victories. It hurts teams on the hard end of the unbalanced conf schedules.

SU's schedule now compares to anyone. The Cincy scalp is a true good away victory. The Seton Hall win is still looking nice. For name victories Pitt and Villanova have a good ring to them.

The RPI and SOS were developed to help compare teams. It would have been nice to reference those figures.

Nice pump piece, but man that was hard to read. Misspellings, missing commas, dangling participles, meandering thought...
