Does that count all the completions to Clemson players too?

Drew Allen was the undisputed master of that.
But Rex was channeling him there today.
maybe that's why they moved him to TE and kickoff coverage? And yet, there he was the 2nd best option at QB giving his all against maybe the best team in the country.

O line did a great job today
4 turnovers killed us
Great job by the team not quiting
Tommy told me yesterday the Clemson D isn’t all that on film .
For all u haters go ahead you don’t know squat . Tommy will succeed one way or the other . How about be happy we hung tough vs the #1 team in the country.

Rex was 4th string that year behind Dungey, Devito, and Welch. Rather than sit on the sidelines holding a clipboard, he told the coaching staff he wanted to contribute anyway he could.

And now he gets bashed for it.

I *heart* Rex, and appreciate what a tremendous young man he is, and all he has overcome.

He's doing the best he can out there, but his lack of prior PT got exposed out there today.
Which is nothing to be ashamed of, against the #1 team in the country, on the road.

He had us within 6 midway thru the 3rd quarter, which is a helluva lot better than almost any sane person would have expected.
It's a shame the wheels fell off so badly right after that.

I think everyone is happy the way the team hung with Clemson. They played their hearts out. The OP was the one doing the hating

Why make a post like this at this time? I understand the point, its the timing of a post like this.

If someone had told you Friday night that SU would be down 6, with the ball, late in the 3rd quarter, would you take that as a 47 point dog regardless of who was playing QB? If you said "yes," why rip Rex after the fact for getting us to that point?
Some of our posters are just black souls.

If he was ever going to be in a position to start at QB, he should’ve stayed at QB. Switching positions certainly can’t be helpful for development. Needless to say, it couldn’t have ever been the plan for him to be starting. Not good that we were in position to have him as #2 on the depth chart entering a season.

If only we could have done something to keep the momentum going once it looked like we had a real shot at the upset. Proud of Rex, and the whole lot of 'em really. The kids came out ready to battle, and weren't just gonna roll over. Unfortunately, the belief in each other that was gaining steam was snuffed out, and all she wrote once momentum flipped. Gotta build on this, get on the same page, learn from our mistakes, and ultimately learn how to finish.

What happened to the game thread I can’t find it

You missed the point of my post in the context of who and what I was responding to. I was praising/defending Rex, not bashing him.

Do you miss him yet? This isn't even high school level QB play. If we had Tommy we might have had a prayer today.
Ridiculous... Is he better than Rex? Sure. Would we have had a prayer with him? No way. He's not the answer.

It's just to all the people who blamed td for everything.

Our offense has mostly stunk all year with and without him. Not all his fault obviously, but he wasn’t doing much either. Of course we’d rather have him than not have him, and obviously hate to see someone go down with an injury.

The game was 27 21 and then our QB turned it over on every possession it's just being realistic.
