(Assuming we aren't on probation with a postseason ban, of course)

We better start picking up some good W's and avoid the bad losses because right now, the resume is ugly. Our losses seem to get worse every day.

Cal is utterly terrible
Michigan is ok, but lost their best player and will probably fade
St. John's isn't a very good team and sits at 2-4 in the watered down BE.
Villanova is a good team, but not a top 5 type. Not a bad loss, but a poor missed opportunity.
Clemson is a really bad team

I know we aren't very good either, but if we want to avoid the NIT, better stop losing to these weak teams that probably won't sniff the bubble.

Miami is a huge game. They are a good, solid team, but not great. Need this win.
We have to sweep a bad Pitt team, win at BC, VT at home without a doubt. Lose any of those and we're likely in huge trouble.

Any news on the sanctions? That died quickly.

Miami is a huge game.

You can't overstate the importance of this Miami game. Top 50 wins are critical when comparing resumes, and we currently have only one (Iowa). Miami is right on the fringe of the Top 50. A home loss to them would be a disaster with our ACC schedule getting way tougher.

Since we are competing for an at large bid with Miami it will be a necessity to beat them...I remember that 7 foot center jackrre or whatever his name is as an excellent passing big man and Miami's guards are very quick.

That watered down conference is on target to get 5 or 6 teams out of 10 in the tourney... although many in that 6-12 seed range.

St, John's at 8-10 in BE would possibly have a better resume than us at 10-8 in ACC.

yeah . . . many people think that the BE has been the 2nd best conference so far this year

When you feel down think of those around you...

Per the Bracket Matrix (Last 4 Team in out of 66 Brackets)
LSU 51
Tulsa 44
Washington 37
Syracuse 30

Last 4 Teams Out
Wyoming 24
Tennessee 22
BYU 21
Davidson 17

When you dissect each of the above teams' resume like the OP did in the first post (which were all rather accurate facts), you will see warts on all the team's.

I agree. That Miami game is huge. It's good that a few ACC teams have raised their profile by beating Duke (Miami and NC St) We need wins against tourney teams / or strong bubble teams / top 50 fringe teams.

we have the bracket right where we want it . . . we'll come out of nowhere, like Randy Orton

OK, that was just an excuse to post a funny off topic video on the hoops board

Damn that kid coming down the stairs on the bike. That's what the NCAA wants to do to Boeheim in the worst way!

Our ooc performance is abysmal, we are going to need to do a lot of damage in the acc, a win tomorrow would go a long way in helping our cause.
