If he was homesick, I think we would have heard sooner. I'm guessing mainly a playing time issue. Hopefully, he can find a nice situation at SMU, Texas St or UTSA.

It does seem the recent track record with Texas players is not great.

I normally agree with most everything you say, however I disagree with not recruiting Texas. My reason is that because when I moved to North Carolina in 1995 and stepped up as a SU football fan, we rarely if ever signed any players from North Carolina. Today we recruit and are successful at getting commitments in NC. I have been really surprised that we have signed as many recruits as we have in the last few years.

I think the coaches should obviously recruit where they will be successful, but should not rule out Texas if there are prospects we could convince to come north.

North Carolina is a much easier sell than Texas. The biggest reason being that we play games in NC every year
