Syracuse Linebacker Enters Transfer Portal
Syracuse could lose another linebacker to transfer.

Little shocked but this makes me believe that Juan, Mikel, Lee, and maybe even Kadeem Trotter separated themselves early potentially
We should stop wasting our time in Texas
But we have such great recruiting connections thereWe should stop wasting our time in Texas

Cue up the Garrison Johnson 44 thread sponsored by BnoroGarrison Johnson heard you and is now going to break every rushing record in school history and will wear number 44 before he is done here![]()

Makes our hire at QB coach even more puzzling, quite honestly. Trust Babers and who knows? Maybe Martin is a savant with the position. But our resources would be better served elsewhere. Honestly, has any sport at SU ever done well in Texas?
Not exactly one of the positions that we can afford to lose people.
I think our 1959 football team did okay.

I can only think of Doug Womack. Who else have we had?Correction: Have any SU teams done well recruiting student-athletes from Texas.
Joe FieldsI can only think of Doug Womack. Who else have we had?
If he was homesick, I think we would have heard sooner. I'm guessing mainly a playing time issue. Hopefully, he can find a nice situation at SMU, Texas St or UTSA.or he's a homesick texas kid
There have been some good players but a lot of guys who never helped a bit. The success rate is really low. A bunch never even enrolled here.Joe Fields
It does seem the recent track record with Texas players is not great. We should stop wasting our time in Texas

Here are a few I haven't seen mentioned yet.
Alton Robinson
Coda Martin
Mark McDonald
Eric Chenoweth
Drew Allen
Malcolm Howard
Charlie Copa
Dorian Hewitt
I normally agree with most everything you say, however I disagree with not recruiting Texas. My reason is that because when I moved to North Carolina in 1995 and stepped up as a SU football fan, we rarely if ever signed any players from North Carolina. Today we recruit and are successful at getting commitments in NC. I have been really surprised that we have signed as many recruits as we have in the last few years. We should stop wasting our time in Texas

I think the coaches should obviously recruit where they will be successful, but should not rule out Texas if there are prospects we could convince to come north.
