Trevor Cooney-best all around game?

I thought he was phenomenal the last 10 minutes or so (didn't notice exactly when it turned), for the rest of the game, no comment. Nope. :)

He's had better 40 minute efforts imo.

Loved him at the end though - hopefully he keeps that going moving forward! Great to see - GO CUSE!

Had a great defensive game. Had a poor shooting game. He's had good defensive games and great shooting performances before (Notre Dame), so no, not his best all-around game.

As a supporter of his, I've come to the conclusion that he should only ever shoot a 3 if it comes from an inside-out pass. He's got to be be like 80% on those. Any other kind of 3 and he's like 10%. A 3 coming after a few momentum building plays has roughly a 2% chance of going in, no matter how open he is.

He's not even one of the best 3pt shooters on this team. He looked pretty good driving onight, if he can do that more often adn keep teams honest he'll get cleaner look s from 3.

Poor first half except for occasional defensive plays. Really, really good in the 2nd.

His hustle and experience on defense were huge down the stretch. Nice left handed finish on at drive at a key point in the game.

I think he needs to be more selective with the 3s. He's never shot a good enough percentage to justify how many he puts up, but when he was our only real threat from out there his launching was sort of understandable.

Now, we've got better shooters. He's gotta pick his spots better and be more selective.

Notre Dame in 2013. Then some ticked off R.C. priest put a curse on him. He hasn't been as good since.

The effort is always there. Two heady steals down the stretch. He drives me nuts sometimes but he always leaves it on the floor.

Fantastic 2nd half. When Malachi was winded and gassed Cooney was just getting warmed up! Richardson had a fantastic game, don't get me wrong, but Trevor played with the heart of a Lion and always does and for that he will always be held in high esteem in my book. Really left it all out there tonight. The kid is a winner and an unbelievably hard worker.

The guy stole two inbound passes off a bucket in one game I don't think I can remember a player ever doing that.
Alittle prediction. When we are down or the pressure is on and opponents are hitting threes I think we will see a trend those are great games for Cooney this year. When we smell blood and the zone doesn't need to extend I think Kaleb is going to show he can earn some minutes.

Gerry did it more than anyone I know but I dont know if he ever did it twice in 1 game. Let alone twice in 15 seconds.

Make no mistake about it, this team is going to need solid play and contributions from Kaleb if it is going to be a force this year. Simply stated, I think the kid has too much talent to not show us some improved and valuable play this season.

2014: Cal, Indiana, ND were GREAT games. Obviously Cornell my god, he couldnt miss. Villanova - we were down like 18! BC and Western Michigan.

2015: the 2 game stretches 1. FSU and Wake 2. UNC and Va tech
