Turner Gill was fired after today. I have to admit that he was my first choice to replace Robinson. He did some good things at Buffalo, surprised he was not given more of a chance.

Schools in Major conferences don't give ya that much time. It's a win-now environment at these places. The Big 12 still isn't the most stable conference situation out there, they can't afford to have a dead football program in this current atmosphere.

He took over a decent winning program (2007 12-1, 2008 8-5, 2009 5-7, four bowl appearances since 2003) and drove it right into the ground going 5-19 over the last two years...ouch

Mangino was a great coach but was brutal on the kids, ku hired a nice Christian man and made all the parents of current players happy and some alumni and this is what you got...
Hey, I thought Gill would at least be ok
