1. If my friend and employee of 50 years came up with this **** I'd sit him down and have a confidential conversation. Perhaps the University has told JB stay away but he still could've picked up the phone. Unless Bernie's a total sociopath, he told him the truth. Look at Boeheim over the next couple of days. If he continues to defend him there's something else going on here and Boeheim is playing Atticus Finch.
2. Any one of us with any integrity would've acted the same way about a true long-term friend. We would have come to their defense and been absolutely devastated if we were wrong. Boeheim obviously didn't know. He's not Joe Paterno.

think you're right. God hope you're right and that I'm not looking through the prism of my orange colored glasses.

the only thing we know for dead certain right now is that Laurie fine slept with Davies. Why/ Because she admitted it. Just because she said someone else did somethng, doesn't make it true.

I wonder what the public perception of this will be? Will the public think this is another Penn State cover up or be able to understand that Boeheim got duped by an old friend?

I think JB is generally alright here.

He defended his friend, and from his point of view the guy was lying, because 3 investigations came and went without Fine being guilty.

I think JB will eventually make some sort of apology, and justify his actions by stating what's said above.

I don't fault him for that position.

In an earlier interview - did not Davis say something to the effect of "how would JB have known?" Would he have said that if he had given the University the tape in 2005?

As to (2), agreed, especially when you throw in the fact that the accusations including a claim that Boeheim saw Davis on Fine's bed and rolled his eyes. As long as JB's denial of that is 100% accurate, and the rest remains the same, this remains apples and oranges.

Actually she didn't. She said that she screwed him up more. That can mean a lot of different things.

accusations true or not.i don't know. but like it or not JB and bernie are joined at the hip in this program. bernie doesn't even exist in college bball without JB. you simply can't draw a clear line of separation when something bad surfaces. they are a team.

Bernie might not exist in college BB without JB, but JB exists in college basketball without Bernie.

You couldn't be more wrong especially with something as sick as this. If JB knew then he should be penalized to the maximum. If JB didn't know then they are not joined at the hip when it comes to child molestation.

If JB knew of the tape do you honestly think he would still live across the street from BF. Come on! If you found out your best bud was likely a child molester would you stay in the same neighborhood were you kids might wander over to the house of your "friend"? JB would've moved in a heartbeat. Friend or not, family safety comes first. Most of the assistant coaches have kids that hang around the program. If I was a coach and knew of such allegations my kids wouldn't come anywhere near BF. Actually, I'ld probably try to find a new job to get far away.

This makes sense to me.

Agree & as to # 1, NO! No one would want to be in the position of being a witness against a long-time acquaintance. Once BF said something incriminating, he just made an admission against penal interest & JB's a witness.

IMHO JB did the right thing except for the liar comment. Shame on BF for letting him do it. He could have told JB to stay out of it without making any admissions.
