UCF hires Josh Heupel

UCF, USF, Memphis, etc should just implement a rotation program like so many companies do today.

If you think about, its not a bad idea. They become the defacto G5 schools with "talent" that an up and coming or coach needing a rehab stint can really catapult their careers.

Take Andrea out. Would sources tell me or would sources tell I.

That’s your answer even though no one ever thinks it looks right.

Mizzou offense was pretty explosive this year. Pretty dramatic turnaround - Odom was real close to being fired mid-season and now his staff is getting head coaching jobs.

Huh. Josh Heupel just kind of fell off the face of the earth after winning the title back in 2000. Good to see him doing well.

I think if you ran a fast food joint, you've probably been seeing a lot of him.

Not that I'm in any position to judge.

mike leach disciples everywhere

Yeah that's a pretty good hire as HC and DC for UCF and Heupel is under the radar enough where hopefully they can keep him a bit longer than their last coach but hey if he has 2 good seasons, you just need to keep hiring

these offenses are getting common enough where there are lots of candidates.

as long as you don't have some goofy AD making decisions based on whatever weak point the prior guy had, flip flopping back and forth. i always think about florida's inner meathead. sure those national championships are great with offensive geniuses but we need to get back to fundamental defense... spurrier to zook, meyer to muschamp.

establish what your identity is and hire to fit that. if babers goes, wish him well, and hire someone who knows the offense

tim lester wouldn't have worked out here but out at WMU, he can channel Cubit - it's who they are, it works for them - just an example.

SU has an identity now and I'm glad about it. we just need some depth now that the schedule is impossible
