Jayden Bellamy transferring to UCF

Bellamy took Greenwood’s place for infuriating source of big plays. We need upgrades in the secondary.

This is where pff loses me because I witnessed this all in the dome.
Yeah me too. Wasnt a huge loss in my mind. Thought Kerr played much faster. We still need a stud corner for Barnes replacement and a really good backup plus starting safety for Clark.

Yea interested in what we do with NIL, some insiders have said around 12 Million we have and outside of Pena and Watson I wonder who’s getting a lot of the money.
I would be surprised if Syracuse football's NIL is $12 million which would put it ahead of the rumored Oregon #. But, probably starting this year, revenue sharing is probably going to be the biggest contributor to paying players. So, it's hard to tell what schools are going to offer a players this cycle as revenue sharing is not in place yet. I would guess when revenue sharing is in place, we will see another crazy portal year next year.

What we don't know is how much will Syracuse allocate to revenue sharing and how will it be allocated by sport? How much does football get and how much does men's basketball get? What about other sports? NIL can be used as well to supplement revenue sharing.

Jayden Bellamy Was a very good high school athlete, and based on a few camps his junior year and travel circuit that summer, landed some good press from scouts. Unfortunately for him, he wasn’t the player everyone thought he was. When he got to Notre Dame he was outplayed and his lack of field awareness put him at the bottom of the prep team. He transferred to SU because he was homesick and Dino was not about to pass up on a former 4 star after losing his 2 best DBs the year before.

Bellamy was consistently not consistent, and missing assignments and reads all season. He saw the writing on the wall and knew if he was going to get an opportunity to play, it wouldn’t be here. He would certainly get beat out of the depth chart by an incoming frosh.
No, he does not have any current NIL offers, and does not have any visits scheduled yet. We have more than enough current talent to start every DB and be an improvement from the ‘24 defense.
Bingo.

Yeah this is maybe the most concerning thing that's happened under Fran, which is obviously a good thing because this isn't a huge deal. But it'll be quite telling where he goes. Essentially we can assume that one of the following is true:

1. Wherever he goes is a step-up in NIL, and we are going to be at risk of losing players to that level school or better in perpetuity.

or

2. Fran is so confident in being able to replace Bellamy that he decided to allocate the money elsewhere.

It's more likely to be 1, so I'm hoping he goes to a legit factory and not a school like Pitt, WVU, etc.
I think he goes 150 miles SE

Just goes to show how bad the rest of the DBs were when Bellamy was our 2nd best behind Lewis.

Positive way to look at it. But there are some challenges ahead, especially with the 2025 schedule. Wax, Diggs and Barron leave big shoes to fill. Same on the back end with Lewis, Barnes, Bellamy, and Clark OOE or portaling. Offense also has some holes. WR and slot are good. But we lose LA, we don’t have a center, RT, or starting caliber QB, a guy to kickoff or someone who can hit a FG longer than 40 yards. There’s work to do In these areas.
I think Spoon will be moved to RT and Wohlabaugh at LT... J Cruz has the early lead for LG... we need a C and RG... spring ball will sort that out.

Absolutely love Fran. Straight shooter and a good guy. Always talks with passion. The kids have to love him despite him being a pretty demanding coach.

Bellamy is certainly not replaceable. But we are now without our 3 top CB's from 2024 in Lewis, Barnes and Bellamy. We have a large freshman DB class coming in. Fran is brining in very good athletes with physiques that can play early. But we surely have some work to do to bring in some experienced talent to both play and serve as mentors to the younger dudes.
Does anybody know of any portal CB's out there that we are looking at? It does seem like some better corners may not portal immediately and are not even in the portal yet.

Daniel Harris from Georgia. Plays a little but post a lot about coach Fran, also seems like Georgia fans don’t appreciate him as much.

I think Hornsby has a good shot to start at right guard.
If the 2025 season were to start today, I think the Cruzes would be the starters at OG. Joe in particular played more and more as the season progressed and I think he more than held his own. I expect he will play a lot in the bowl game.

I think Hornsby is a bit behind them but I think he is the next logical guy to get PT at OG.

If one of these guys can transition to center, it would be great.

I expect to see a number of OL get some PT at center during the spring to see who looks more promising there.

Do you think we see any freshman o line or d line on the 2 deep?

Hard to say right now with people still likely to portal in and out.

Right now, I would expect it more like to see a frosh on the two deep on the OL than the DL.

We have a lot of veterans returning on the DL. Less so on the OL.

Fran's head is just wired right for this era of college football.

This is the simplest articulation of Fran’s value as HC I’ve read. Legitimately.

There is a reason you go on the r/cfb and people love Fran almost universally.

He gets it. We beat Tenny to open the year next year and ESPN is going to become Fran TV.

That just tells me that they don't buy in to DART, and they are actually expendable. As we get closer to 100% buy in, we get closer to conference and national championships.
Yes I agree. However, Ive bought into certain things 100% until something appearing better...maybe? better or maybe not, only time tells, tho I also gave 100% to the next opportunity.

Live and ́learn...Duce is a good example. Gimme more deuces, those that excelled on up, foùnd "it" and then had to deal with "it"
... that real life adversity.

I believe you are correct, lets think about it...what % of the average team is expéndable?
Possibly the answer în regards to a Championship team is <10%.
And the average team >50%?

So i I conclude...
Later Bellamy, deuces and best wishes.

+ my neice makes a killer edible
forgot I ate that thîng aroùnd 4:30 til now. Sorry if this is gibberish.
