tampa suggested fighting when he told someone that they wouldn't say what they said about him to his face.

Thats pretty much the beginning and end of any UCONN/SU hoops discussion.
Great post!Pretty much the beginning and end from your limited UConn/SU perspective. JB and JC represent a part of the overall program, and JC does have a slight lead. But just like with the wins, JC had the lead for a while but you shouldn't count JB out. Same goes with the recent championships.
Right above are the championship banners from the past. And where is UConn on the all time list of wins. I haven't seen them anywhere around those discussions.
And what about the future? Well, SU is number 1. SU has great recruits coming in. SU is going to the ACC. SU has a plan for post JB with the Hop waiting to slide in. What's ahead for UConn? A fractured Big East, NCAA sanctions, JC leaving. Back to pre JC status, remember that? Might be a bad time for you to be jumping on the UConn bandwagon.
My dad is a huge UConn fan and we've had an argument about this recently. He thinks UConn will be fine and recruits will continue to come there. He insists their basketball conference will be the same (hey, we all know what powerhouses Houston and SMU are; he countered with "oh yeah, well what has NC State done recently?"). He also thinks Ollie will be a better coach than Hop because "Ollie played in the NBA and knows what it takes to get there".Pretty much the beginning and end from your limited UConn/SU perspective. Hop will be amazing!
Needless to say he was grasping at straws and UConn is headed for tough times.

I agree with you about Napier. Last year I wanted to beat UConn but actually enjoyed watching their run with Walker. They scare me more than I hate them as they always seem to have the building blocks for success. The UConn thing that irritates me the most is Calhoun. He really is soooooooooooo unlikable.I think most boards think there players have better prospects for pro careers than they really do. See, this forum any time people talk about how many NBA players we have on it.
Syracuse is a big rival of UConn, and we look like the top dog in the conerence this year. It's only natural.
Also, I think Napier is a really good player. His numbers are outstanding.
Ever notice teams with nice NIT runs oftentimes win the NCAA titles the next year (2002-2003 SU for example)? And duly noted what you described above would not be considered a "Nice NIT run"I'd like to point out that SouthTampaBill is 6'6", 250 lbs. and willing to fight any of you nerds.
The 2010 team was in the NIT, won a game against Northeastern and then lost a pitiful, typical game for that season @ VTech
