Uconn Board developing a Rutgers like obsession with the Cuse

We have Western Kentucky, Vermont, Rhode Island , Penn, Minnesota, UMass, Richmond, Marquette, Navy. I could easily add NC Charlotte, Texas Tech, Iowa, Alabama, Texas A& M, even Butler. Unlike the first groupings, the latter teams were actually a little bit good.
They have George Mason and who else? Is their list as long as ours? May not be because they were about 5-10 yr behind SU in becoming a NCAA Tournament perrenial . I remember Washington coming within a whisker of knocking them out in 1999. What I do remember is it took a long time for a final 4. The Donyell Marshall, Tate George, Ray Allen, Doron Scheffer teams were always expected to be FF material but always came up just short. Also UConn actually knocked out Bill Bradley and Princeton in the 1964 Gold Medal year when Bradley was a red hot item in College Basketball,

San Diego in 2007 or 2008 when AJ Price tore his ACL.

Washington was in 1998 the game before UConn lost to UNC I believe.

Gonzaga gave UConn a scare in 1999.

That's right, for some reason I keep putting the Washington and Gonzaga games in the same Regional in the same year.

Uconn winning last year was a killer, gonna be really tough for jb to catch calhoun now, we almost have to win it all this year. its very rare for teams to have mediocre regular seasons then run the table in the tourny. The 99 and 04 uconn teams were legit elite championship teams, even their 09 team was like that. Last year wasnt that kinda team but they still pulled it off, still pisses me off, especially considering what happened to us the year before.
