However, the NEC granted Le Moyne instant conference tournament eligibility for the 2023-24 school year. Because the D-I transition is supposed to take four years, the Dolphins still aren't eligible to compete in NCAA Tournaments until the 2027-28 school year.

This team lacks focus and the preparation is awful. It's like they aren't mentally tough. Could see it in the duke game when the wheels started coming off. Zero hustle or urgency to win. Seems like it's the same story every year, almost like they get burned out by the time meaningful lacrosse comes around. Feel like the mentality is where it starts and that usually comes down from above. Wasted talent super frustrating.

Also curious what are the captains doing? Just saw the joey penalty tho gio def dropped low on purpose (which should be illegal or something) to force joey to hit his head. But right there joey one of our main guys pulling a stupid late hit for no reason. So where are the captains to go at the players to knock the crap off? They don’t play for each other. Finn with the between legs shot when down n had time to spin towards goalie for better shot selection. Yes he prob would been blown up but maby least wpuld of scored n caused a flag. Well it’s now win or go home. Even if there’s chance to still make it with lost don’t think they deserve it or honestly will get it. Also how come we arnt inverting or attacking from behind cage with our middies ? Where are the skip passes thru defense ? Where is the cutting n pics off ball. Guys dodging n to many guys just watching n spacing is to close makes easier for double team. Also when double comes why arnt are guys moving to open space or cutting behind their guy going to double? Just so many fundamental stuff not doing.

Last thing what is bout syracuse lax that refs hate? At game my wife even asked me why do refs hate us lol. Every game she has watch she sees other teams shove us from behind or get away with things but we brush dude it’s a flag. Kinda wondering what it’s bout myself. Grant do see guys like joey n leo constantly arguing with refs over calls. Which never helps. As said if bad call is made jumping n crying bout it isn’t gonna change the call. Move on n get ready right away to start play. Mean refs have been terrible. Duffy was grappling figs stick more then few times.

I also agree joey has to be playing offball. He normally has best defender on him so make him play inside so that defender has to slide or be part of it. Also can’t say ball movement doesn’t work all time as half time they’re not moving it fast. Also ball movement only works when spinning it fast n guys offball are cutting n picking which doesn’t happen. Also seems like our guys do not like contact. Grant we are on smaller size but they def shy away from contact often. Really miss someone like nick mariano who went right at guys even two guys. He could shoot with both hands n wasn’t a shot he didn’t like.

But there’s no fakes no rocker steps or inside rolls much when dodging. Almost just straight try to run pass guys which unless guy on ya super slow need to throw some kind of dodges in there. I think we need to go joey, hiltz , anderson on attack fin needs to go to midfield with rhoa n leo. Put english on second line with hottle n mixture of deere/mccarthy/cordes to least give someone with experience or high skill on that line. I like mcCarthy he has decent size decent speed he has some nice looks. Just his shooting is not good tho he doesn’t shoot much.

He should work on his shooting on run or alley dodging shots. Also do we have any set plays? Like this play set up to get hiltz free or this one for joey etc etc? Nd is starting to get hott even with poor game starts they had. We also beat them last time so they’re def gonna be looking for payback. Said it before it lost to unc n got ND in acc that think we are cooked. Sadly i think that is gonna happen , tho would absolutely love to be proven wrong. Just don’t see it tho.

I would move forward or backward to get out of the path, not duck. I would still get hit by the persons lower half if I ducked and stayed in place.

If a car is driving at you, is your first instinct to jump up and over the car or to move out of the path?

Spallina’s hit was late. No doubt. I think the goalie ducked in order to try to get the non releasable - no different than flopping or exaggerating contact in other sports, except it’s not fined or penalized.

it's one thing to get screw jobbed on the road. i get it and i actually expect it. but when we are drawing huge crowds of knowledgable fans and have a brand new JUMBOTRON replay i'd expect to get a little home cooking' . i don't have the answer as to why. i just know what i'm seeing. Dome crowd had every right to be pissed off.

The offense looked awful (minus the last 2 minutes), the defense wasn’t great but they fought, and McCool was All American good.

Spallina is overrated (he had 4 goals against Notre Dame, the best game of his SU career, but otherwise has 2 goals in the other 3 ACC games, is shooting 25%, and he CANNOT dodge), Rhoa shouldn‘t be playing on the 1st line (he’s shooting 7%! although it’s at least better than McCarthy’s 0%), and the offense should be going through Anderson and Hottle because, besides Hiltz (our true MVP), both of them are shooting 30% and they can both consistently dodge and win a 1v1 matchup. Otherwise, English’s turnovers are pretty bad (he has more turnovers then goals).

I'm always frustrated when Carcaterra tells us once again how Rhoa is so ambidextrous that you can't tell which is his dominant hand. Look, the guy is fast, a great athlete, has a rocket shot...but 7%? I doubt many other first line middies on top ten teams are shooting that low.

Which brings me to Dominic Pietramala and Carcaterra telling us how, "He doesn't get shy when he shoots 1-10 and puts most of his shots in the upper deck of the Dome...he just keeps shooting." I'll go out on a limb and say it's easier to NOT get shy when your father is one of the coaches. Yes, he can score. Yes, he has a cannon. But I cannot remember anyone being allowed to shoot 10 times in a half and only get one on goal. Most guys get pulled. He scored 6, but took 20 shots. That's wild.

UNC took 59, Pietramala took 20. I doubt a player is green lighted to shoot 20 times if his father isn't in the huddle. Matan and Duffy took 8 and 7. But 20?!
