UNC leading scorer PJ Hairston arrested for possession.

UNC Law School :D

Eh, most people claim primary allegiance to their undergrad. Since John Edwards did his at NC State, can't blame him for wanting to change that up. ;)

Roy Williams has Marcus Sales' bro on speed dial as a consultant. Aaron Hernandez is not impressed.

Just FYI, more testimony about the credibility of the Pack Pride klan. They actually made local news here a few years ago when they threatened online to lynch Ty Lawson after he dunked on NC State during a game. Shortly after that, UNC's student body president, a Morehead Scholar, was studying late home alone one night when two men broke into her house, kidnapped her, drove her to an ATM and forced her to withdrawal money, tortured her, and, after she asked them to pray with her, shot her several times in the torso with a small caliber handgun before finishing her off with a shotgun blast to the face. Pack Pride's reaction was to accuse her of being a coke dealer and openly laugh about her death. Real classy people there.

North Carolina as a state doesn't have many things to be embarrassed about...unfortunately, NC State is one of those things that we constantly find ourselves apologizing for.

That really has nothing to do with their credibility. Just more with their lack of empathy or compassion for a rival school.

A detailed police report into the traffic stop and arrest of UNC basketball star P.J. Hairston says that he switched places with a passenger to try to avoid a citation of driving without a license, admitted to being a “recreational” marijuana user and had been given the rental car that he was driving to go to Atlanta and see friends.

t's telling that he's going out of his way to say he's not a booster or agent.
His definition of "booster" and the NCAA's definition of "booster" may not be the same.

Two observations:
1. I suspect that UNC does not encourage its students to be involved with ex-cons.
2. Unless Fatts rents Yukons for all UNC students, this looks like a perfect example of an inappropriate benefit. (I know, he rented it for one of Hairston's friends.)

UNC Law School :D
Did they even offer such a program at the time, and if so, did he actually attend their classes?

I honestly can't fathom UNC allowing PJ to play this season. Sucks for him, but that's what happens when you knowingly break NCAA rules like he apparently did. We'll see how well the rest of the team is able to step up during the season.
