What a joke of an organization. Can't wait for it be eradicated in a few years.
Don't worry the committee that the NCAA started will take care of everything. Cue sarcasm font. There is no way the NCAA as we know it today will be around in five years. Hopefully it's replacement will be much more in tune with the real problems of college athletics.
you still in the assured-prediction business? Why ws this non-announcement postponed last week? 5 level one violations? Institutional control?
SU's biggest mistake was having the basketball staff get involved.
But spare me if anyone believes UNC's staff didn't know. But it's not what you know... it's what you can prove.
lol still can't believe how many around here were CONVINCED n.c. was DEFINITELY getting hammered - writing was on the wall for quite a while that they were gonna skate... and the "but the FBI" as the new reason that the hammer had to come down just never made logical sense - Newhouser 's take above pretty much nails it
On the day the NCAA fails to punish UNC for athletes taking fake classes to stay eligible, they rule Beverly can't play b/c he went to class
So I guess this just means UNC didn't break NCAA rules. They're just a clown college.
And I bet a lot of UNC fans are perfectly fine with that because their basketball team wins a lot of games.
Most of their fans didn't go to the school
I really want a UNC grad to apply to a job with me...
Jay Bilas' take disappointed me. At least say they gamed the system. Something. To just tweet that the investigation wasn't in their jurisdiction and was a waste of money is really weak.
Believe it or not, that was actually Tyler Hansbrough.Seriously? That's insane.
If you think we are upset, the old ACC schools are going to go nuts. Where is Hoo?The home game vs unc will be the rowdiest and nastiest since the old gtown days. The students have to be creative with their signs.
UNC campus now in Indianapolis. The FBI should arrest the whole NCAA. Utter incompetence! How much were they paid?
AKA there's too much money at stake and I don't want to be reprimanded by John Swofford.
