Does anyone else find it humorous that there is all of this hoopla around new uniforms that will be worn on Wednesday night in February for a game that will only be broadcast regionally? If they really wanted exposure and it was about selling more merchandise, why not wear them for the UCONN game or Louisville game?

Ah, there's the little tribute to the '03 team up between the shoulders.

They're alright, like the 'Cuse. Wish the letters and numbers though were at least trimmed with orange, but I'm a detail snob.

We've been widely known as Cuse for a long time now. I'd say it probably became our national monicker in '96, when our guys chanted that "The Cuse is in the house." It's how people have referred to us ever since.

It was national before that and if memory serves it was created by sports commentators; not the players, the students, or Syracusans themselves. I always disliked it for that very reason...someone else hung the name on us.

Why are they making every team wear gray? The styling isn't bad but hate the gray.
Should be school colors...which isn't gray.

I kind of like them, and I don't see any harm in having fun with the uniforms. The whole 'Cuse thing doesn't bother me either...never has.

The only thing I don't like (and I agree with you on this point) is that they're so similar to those other schools. I don't understand why Nike wants to create an army of college basketball teams. Mix it up. Make them unique. The cookie cutter stuff is just wierd.

As I said in an earlier post, honestly not one of my non-Syracuse friends ever says Syracuse. Ever. We are "the Cuse" or "Cuse". And I love that we are.

I prefer to be referred to as The Esteemed and High Honorable Syracuse University at all times.

Alabama has 'Bama on their football helmets. They're bad people.


The new uni's are very nice looking. I want to see us wear them more than once. Plus why do we have to wear them against USF? That sucks.

I dont mind the uni's especially if its just once in awhile, but our primary should always be orange. My girlfriend went to UNC, she's going to flip a over their uni's, god forbid anyone messes with tradition there, the alumni go bat crazy. Now Uconn has a legit gripe, they have red in their uniform and nike puts "UC" on the uniform? I thought it was for cinci...
