None of the 28 million is from Duke. He could have got that money no matter what school he went to. It’s an endorsement deal which has nothing to do with any boosters. Of course Duke is providing him NIL too, but it’s no different than Kiyan getting a deal from Kim Kardashians underwear line. And he’s getting NIL from Syracuse too.1) yes I did not read this thread. I was looking for a place where I could post without starting a new thread.
2) Is it your opinion that Duke did not provide Cooper Flagg any NIL Compensation to play for them above what he was able to receive from New Balance and Fanantics? I’m sure that there was something he received to play for Duke. Whatever he received added to the $28 million would exceed the $28 million right. That is an acceptable figure for a commit with his credentials?
I am saying that the more a college player earns in NIL will make harder for many colleges to compete. Example: BYU is reportedly giving AJ Dybantsa $5 million to play for them next season starting before any other endorsements/incentives are included.
If fans want to be concerned what schools are paying players I understand, but it has zero to do with any endorsement deal.
