USF on CBS Sports Network

Who in 2015, other than the future unibombers here, wouldn't have this channel??

If your cable has CBS, you have CBSSN, it's that simple.
It isn't on the basic tier for DirecTV. I have it by paying for it CBSSN is not like NBCSN or FS1. Those channels are not premiere.

I thought this game was going to be on the ESPN family of networks I am disappointed ESPN subleased it to CBSSN. I have DirecTV so it won't affect me but for people who don't get CBSSN they will be SOL.
USF is the home team - therefore it's the AAC that controls broadcast rights - thus it is on CBSSportsnet

Nothing to do with espn

Hmm. Maybe I need to look again. I also have DirecTV.
you get it only if you have their upper end plans. Choice and below no such luck and you cant' get it via their sports package. But you can watch in on channel 205 on the channel that shows 8 sports channels at once only you can't go to it full screen. Pain in the arse...

This is why it drives me nuts when people bitch about being on ESPN3, I would much rather be on ESPN3 than CBSSN. For me I am pretty sure CBSSN is a higher tier channel on my basic cable package and since there is no app I cannot stream this on my roku which leaves me with the option of going to a sports bar and watching which with Nebraska playing Wisconsin at 2:30 is gonna be damn near impossible here in Omaha. I would rather this game be on ESPN3 than "nationally" on CBSSN. Plus since we aren't on the "Family of networks" highlights of this game will be tough to come by on College Football final or SC. I am just thankful that for the RSN or ACCN games ESPN3 picks them up and I can watch in HD from my living room, hopefully I don't have to listen to Matt Park on the TuneIn app for this one.

Brewskys used to hook me up all the time no problem.

But they 'have' it.

This is incorrect. The American TV contract was signed with ESPN. ESPN then subleases some games to CBSSN. ESPN had first rights to this game if they wanted it via their American TV contract. ESPN sold this game to CBSSN which is what the AAC TV contract dictates.
Most AAC games are on ESPN family of networks but about 1 per week is sold to CBSSN.

That is 100% incorrect. Need to have the additional sports package to get it, at least with Fios out here in Buffalo, and I believe it was the case with TW in Syracuse.

Fios in the Syracuse area...you have to pay for one of the upper level HD channel packages in order to get CBSSN.

I'll be going to Blarney or Rosie's to catch this game. Screw giant cable bills for 600 channels I will never watch

I get it that ESPN3 is great for cord cutters and to watch on demand but I do like having the game on CBSSN because of the exposure it gives us, specifically to the HS kids watching college football all day sat. When we're on a national cable net more kids are watching us as they flip around between the games on TV

Sucker. Join the cool crowd and stream it on a site where the Russian mob can hack your computer and drain your checking account at the same time.

I never got the whole im going to stream it onto a laptop or ipad or phone. There is a reason i have a 70 inch tv dammit

You all should be watching CBSSN every morning from 6-10.

The Monday QB show is good too.
Every morning from 6-10? Some of us have to work, Stan

An iPad at 10 inches is a 70 inch tv with better resolution. If your feed is bad, yeah they are comparable.

No I am correct.

Just because people spend all the money on a dish and DONT BOTHER to get the sports packages that the dish was basically invented for, is not my problem.

Same with the idiots with cable who call themselves sports fans, maybe even a HUGE fan...and then don't get the sports channels that are available.

They all choose to not 'have' it.

And thats pathetic for people on this site.

Your statement was still incorrect. You said if you have CBS then you have CBSSN. That couldn't be further from correct. The next tier sports package is mostly garbage, including CBSSN. Not worth the money at all. I'd rather save that money and use it to buy some beers at a local sports bar the couple of times a year that there is actually a game on one of those networks that I actually care to watch. An extra $10 a month for non-P5 uninteresting football, Formula 1 racing, rally car racing and surfing (surfing!!). Not worth it in the least.

Agreed. The regional sports package (DirecTV and U-verse) was what gave me access to tons of SU games over the years. Those were either $5 or $10 per month. Heck, you can even drop it during the summer if you want to. With the move to the ACC I don't think I need it anymore, but you never know what kind of oddball games you run into late at night...

I take offense! ;)
F1, Le Tour and access to a gazillion EPL games make NBCSN well worth it. :)

NBCSN is not on the same sports level as CBSSN, at least with my provider. I have NBCSN and am glad I do, because they are the only network with NHL games.

You're wrong. I have the sports package on DirecTV. It doesn't come with the sports package. You have to get one of the two most expensive tiers of programming in order to get access to CBS Sports Network. I downgraded before the season started, and will now have to upgrade a day before the game to watch it, and then downgrade the next day, since all the other channels in the premium tier blow.

I give up.

Everyone has clearly loaded up on their stoopid pills today.
