USF on CBS Sports Network

What??

I never spoke about Direct TV and 'packages' of any type.

I will dumb down what I said for you...

If your cable or whatever, has CBS, then it 'offers' CBSSN.

Wether or not you or anyone is too cheap to pay for it, is not my problem.

It's offered, thats all i meant.

People here bitch like little girls that some game is only on some channels that their cable does not offer.

This is not the case.

So you and everyone in the United States of America who pay for some type of cable...now stay with me here...'have' it.

Ridiculous.

You should be ashamed.

Congrats Kaiser, you're the king of sports fans on this forum. What a feather in your cap.

I agree.

Why I waste my time trying to educate the uneducatable is beyond me.

I hear ya, renting multiple boxes is 1/2 the bill, but the crazy thing is...I think you get every single channel under the sun, but not in HD.

It's HD where they get all funky with the $$.

Maybe not, I just look to the chart farthest on the right and go fine. Ask the mrs if we can include Playboy? she says no...and we order.

Suped-up cable is why I work.
I think that Mrs. Kaiser has to be a hoot! ;)

(If only she was an RU grad that rooted for the Jets & Mets... )

Agreed. But for a single person the math/science of it is indisputable. Plus head phones? Great audio to boot.

It's just preference. I vastly prefer the big screen to an iPad, even if it's just me watching.

Don't forget to turn up the surround sound! :)

iPad/iPhone is fine when it's the only option (e.g. keeping track of a World Cup game while at the office; traveling to/from or attending a family obligation, etc..), but given a choice ... I prefer a real TV.

We're usually out on the deck with 2 or 3 TVs during college football season. Wireless boxes (U-verse, DirecTV, AppleTV, Roku, Fire TV, etc.) make this a reality. If the weather is not cooperative then we do the same thing in the living room.

Sadly - not often. I live in Cincinnatus (middle of nowhere) and have young kids. We don't get to many games (kids) anymore - but I'm priming the family for when the 3 year old can sit still for more than 5 minutes at a time.

We have a big super bowl party - but regular games are a hard sell for the wife.

3 is young, when they cross into 6 or 7 they'll settle more. Going to sports live helps feed the TV stuff.

I hosted a Sugar Bowl party in 1988 in "Lower" Cincinnatus, a suburb of Cincinnatus...

Ha! Cornfields and cowbells galore ;). It's a nice place to live for a lot of reasons - but it's for sure not a hot spot for partying.

Can I show your post to my wife...ummm to show her I'm not the only one who would do this.

That is totally incorrect.

The 9th (WOW!) and 13th (Atlantic Broadband) largest cable TV providers in the US both carry CBS and not CBSSN. I'm sure there are smaller cable TV companies this applies to too.

Looks like channel 221 on DirecTV. I turned it on and immediately changed it as it said it was the Doug Gottlieb Show. Yikes!
