I guess we would find out how much the coaches really liked him and how much he really like the coaches. If they have a mutual like for each other he would be one of the first calls I would make especially looking at our QB room. Armstong would be my first LOL

Of 8 LB's on the depth chart 3 are freshman 2 are sophs. Size seems OK on them. Experience? Talent? Maybe we take a closer look at them and see. We have a room of 10 and all but Mikel are freshman - hell our entire team is made up of freshmen.

I'd rather have a QB with talent and good skills than anyone. Except for Armstrong, who I guess staying at VA, wonder who's the best in this group. VA doesn't recruit bad QB's

BillSU Jacob Rodriguez was a high three star and in the portal wonder what the relationship was like this year between him and Beck and if Beck still likes him.

Here is some info on both Jacob Rodriguez, (entered 12/3), and Ira Armstead who have both entered the transfer portal. They are QB's rarely used at VA. It seems Brennan Armtrong is #1 with a bullet and these two have played minor roles at WR.

Watched some tape on Rodriguez as a senior out of Wichita Falls Texas and most of it is devoted to the run. He's very good at it and was on the high school track relay team. He can also throw rather well as his bio attests. Wnder if Beck has an interest in bringing him North.

Also read that Armstead is not a passer thus one of the reasons he's in the portal.

VA has two QB recruits coming in the 2022 class.
