Do we think all the offensive coaches will still return?
Not the offensive line coach. Change was already announced there. I would expect more to come.Do we think all the offensive coaches will still return?
Oh good call. That’s right Juan Castillo is coming in. Thanks. Not the offensive line coach. Change was already announced there. I would expect more to come.
FWIW, I think Kehres will have the title of Assistant head coach/defensive coordinator here. Same title ERob had.Kehres was DC/LB at Toledo.
With five DBs starting, and sometimes a Dime defense being out there, it makes sense to have two DBs coaches.I believe it's the HC + 10 assistants.
2024 they had two on the DL (Robinson/Williams).
It's entirely conceivable for Kehres to be only the DC and not coach a position group specifically.
So it would be:
Nixon, Nunz, Johnson, Castillo, Gattis
DL Coach, LB Coach, DB Coach, Kehres
ST Coach.
Under Dino the DBs had two full assistants. So there's some variance in how the number is deployed.
A sneaky really, really good game.OMG yes almost forgot about that call, I was yelling at the refs for being idiots for a moment and then was like WAIT it's not on us for once![]()

In this new college FB environment, many programs are going to have to be satisfied with that. Not everyone can "aspire to win national championships." There's just too much fricking competition and things that are beyond the control of the institutions.Neb after 3 yrs with Rhule is marginally better than they were before he got there. how long does 6-7 wins get it done.
It will never stop these schools from throwing more and more money at it though, regardless, which is killing the sport as we speak..and is throwing away money irresponsibly - and in many cases taxpayer money - along with it.In this new college FB environment, many programs are going to have to be satisfied with that. Agreed, was that the one where Ant Bailey flipped the blitzer to give Nassib time to throw the winning touchdownA sneaky really, really good game.
Yes I believe so. It was a fantastic game and after 4 years of GROB hell, it was such a great thing to see us win a bowl and have an 8 win season. And function like a competent football program againAgreed, was that the one where Ant Bailey flipped the blitzer to give Nassib time to throw the winning touchdown
I need to rewatch thatm game I remember it being awsome
No lie, one of the best sporting event days I've ever attended. I've been to a World Series game (granted, it was in Cleveland in 1997 and one of the coldest recorded World Series games in history) and that Pinstripe Bowl experience topped that. The culmination of having a really good season, a Yankee Stadium game, Billy's Bar pregame, the bowl win, a great post game dinner at Sparks Steakhouse where we ran into Nancy Kantor and Daryl Gross (I know, I know) was incredibly satisfying after so many bad years. It was just great.A sneaky really, really good game.

I remember that we had really stumbled into that game. Just looked it up, lost to UConn and BC the last 2 games (both in the Dome), scoring 6 and 7 points, and only about 235 yards per game.
And then exploded for 500 yards and 36 points on a cold December day. Most yards in a game all season and most points in all FBS games that year. One flea flicker and perfectly thrown deep ball (something we had struggled with) turned it all around.
Come on, he's not going to talk about the coaches on staff or guys he's trying to hire, nor about players he wants to target in the transfer portal. That's just tampering waiting to happen. When is Matt Park going to ask any hard questions to anyone!
I’d love to know:
- personality (are you high energy in your face or laidback)
- philosophy on defense (he mentioned stopped the run first)
- scheme and how it’s effective
- tackling, how can you teach tackling since that’s been a major issue
- recruiting territory
- good with coaches on staff? Need to bring some of your Toledo guys?
- can you bring a few Toledo defenseman that would fit?
A 20 min video just doesn’t do it! We need something with substance.

And there's certainly no car pictures for it.His core values at Mount Union were WCLH. That doesn't even spell anything good.
