NBA guys are right. The pick and roll is killing us. It destroys all ball movement and doubles up the ball handler every time.

The only time the pick and roll even comes close to working is when it's Lydon -- UVA knows Roberson/DC aren't threats at all, it's useless to try to do ti with them

UVA's good enough. The last thing we need is for their PG to have an outer body experience from 24 feet. We've played poorly, and on top of it have gotten a bunch of bad bounces and bizarre shots by UVA that have gone in. They're also killing us on the glass -- no surprise since they have 4 guys under the hoop on EVERY SHOT.

We're pretty far behind. But we'll never catch up unless Perentes sinks back to planet earth in the second half.

He does this all the time, so you can't call it an out of body experience. The kid shot 48% from three this year. Let's pretend we know that and actually defend him, regardless of how far away from the line he is. PLEASE!

That Friday victory was not insane. We didn't go to triple OT. Being tired is really lame excuse.

Fatigue is not a factor in this tournament. We had four full days off. then played friday night. tons of long commercial timeouts. longer half time. we play zone. nobody played 40 minutes.

if you are 18-20 years old and a D1 bball player and fatigue is the reason you are not performing right now, you better get your hemoglobin checked.

This year was never about this year, except for g and cooney.

Next year is our shot, and this experience is a bonus for us fans, but a bigger bonus for everyone coming back. Lydon and mal and Howard will have shortcomings from the tourney to focus on all summer.

We'll be back next year, and the struggles those guys had these last couple games will drive a better team next year.

Excellent coach. But Tobey, Gill and Brogdon are gone after this year. That will make a big difference. We have no one that can play with Gill inside.

Gill's made a few buckets but it's Perrantes that's the issue. The dude litereally has made that shot for 3 years against us

I would argue our defense is playing fine. Our offense just sucks. The reason is they are physically and mentally exhausted from Fridays insane victory. If we somehow come back and win this game it will be epic and legend!

Defense is playing fine? Letting a 48% shooter have wide open looks is not good defense. Yeah the offense sucks but we knew that was likely. SU needed to hold UVA in the low to mid 50s to win and that might have been possible if we checked Perrantes.

No team they have played has been able to drive to the rim. Have to beat it with ball movement and perimeter shooting. Bad game plan today. The officiating is terrible but we would be losing anyway. Why is Perrantes left alone at the top of the key every damn possession? 48% 3 pt shooter being left alone.

Tough half - we have to start hitting shots though. Hopefully we have some adjustments on offense. Last game, if I recall correctly, Mali and G started dropping threes in the second half and that was the offense. We need some of that, and a bit more...

We can't drive to the basket because they double team the person receiving the pass on our one offensive play. We need 2 offensive plays.

People think holding Virginia to a low point total is "good defense". They fail to realize that it takes 25-30 seconds to shoot against them and they use up 25-30 seconds on offense. That's why you can't get down and just play zone defense and hope to get back into it because one back and forth possession eats up a minute of clock.
