Yep. Every team left is in the field anyways. No need to play with fire. That's fair.

unless they are using a new fornat, don’t the first four play on Tues/Wed and then the traditional first rd games are Thurs/Fri?
Good question. With the trackers they all wore, this won’t necessarily knock us completely out even if we had contact with whoever it was. Another question: if the trackers say Buddy was in close contact with the person would he have to sit given he’s already had covid?
If we are in the field without the first four of course they would accommodate us for Saturday since they have all the teams in Indianapolis and the schedules aren’t made yet.The question is would the committee move us to Saturday and move someone else to Thursday just cause of this
Exactly! It's trash mismanagement by the ACC and NCAA. They've had an entire YEAR to figure out how to handle this and now they aren't really handling it any differently than last year. Ridiculous. What ought to happen is that Lousiville should have advanced to play FSU and Cuse advance to play Gtech. Strange times right now with covid so why not? I mean, what are we going to do in the NCAA tournament if this happens in the final four... crown a champion because the other team has a covid case?
There is a new format this year.unless they are using a new fornat, don’t the first four play on Tues/Wed and then the traditional first rd games are Thurs/Fri?
We could find out with a brand new lineup in play for the tourney.Wonder how many of our players have already had it...
been saying this for awhile.. they should have given 2 weeks off to get teams bubbled up and then started the tourneyI wonder if the ncaa considers pushing the tourney back a week to allow for quarantine time.
I’m sure TV contracts are king here, but there will start to be questions about legitimacy if this keeps going like this.
Makes you wonder... but they had nothing to gain by playing syracuse. Those *****s. They couldn't have had this positive test one day earlier?
Thanks. I did not know that.New format this year.
I was thinking the same but didn't want to be the first to say it.Those *****s. They couldn't have had this positive test one day earlier?
Or do they just need 5 negatives so they can field a team?NCAA requires 7 days of negative tests before getting to Indy... which means UVA needs all negatives tomorrow in order to play in the first round
That protocol (5 player rule) is for when the tournament is already underway.Or do they just need 5 negatives so they can field a team?
Feels like the rumor was that Chaz as well. But I may be misremembering.Buddy/JG3/Woody/Frank and a walk on or two have all had it that we actually know of right?
CBS does not want the final 4 the same weekend as the Mastersbeen saying this for awhile.. they should have given 2 weeks off to get teams bubbled up and then started the tourney
Takes two weeks though to be effective. Here’s the solution, give every participant an antibody test, for those who haven’t already had the virus or the vaccine, give them the vaccine.
