From a quick glance at ticketmaster it looks like there are plenty of good seats still available. I was hoping there would be a good crowd to honor one of the greatest all - time Orangemen, Donovan McNabb, but it looks like we will be lucky to break 35k.

Any predictions ?

Expect a poor crowd. Honestly, it shouldn't shock anyone.

The advertising for football is embarrassing I just drove back to syracuse on friday and back to buffalo tonight. Not one SU football sign on the way between Manlius and Baldwinsville.

I did hear an ad on the radio this morning which promoted the game and the retirement of McNabb's jersey.

Actually, I'd be satisfied with 35K considering the performance we put on at GT and the usual response of the 'casual fan'. Plus, I really doubt that the honoring of past greats has much impact on attendance. People are not going to spend money just to see a jersey unveiled in the rafters.

Hate to agree, but I think you're completely correct.

I've stressed about attendance for years, but time to move on. There's a great core of fans in CNY and across the country. If the casual fan doesn't show, their loss.

37,683 and no matter what happens mid to late 3rd quarter fans start leaving we are lucky to have a dome to play in because i'd say 80 % of you didn't watch games during rough weather at archbold .

we get the same attendance as all but 3-4 teams in the ACC we fill about 75% of the dome on avg. which is all that the ACC teams do

Huh? When did they announce this? This is honestly the first I've heard of it. Good thing I read this forum.

Because there's so many better things to do when it's 50 degrees and raining on a Saturday in Syracuse in November.

Bowling, anyone?

Raking leaves in the rain is ideal--they don't blow around plus soggy leaves rake up more efficiently than dry one. 50 degrees is the ideal temp for strenuous raking as well. There, did I cover all the bases for Joe Casualfan? :D

I want what is best for the program, but I am selfishly happy that our row will be empty again. The main reason I have football season tickets and not basketball is that it is a far more comfortable experience.

Had we beaten Ga Tech the Dome would have been packed for WF.

Last time we played Wake, half the crowd left early and missed the comeback win.
