Washington and Carey in the portal

Systems are key... SUs system was not a good fit for him from the start. Top 50 recruits usually aren’t as bad as he showed. I think partly him but mainly the system was not a great type of offense for him to thrive. Let’s see how it plays out at RI

yea, in an interview. He was a great teammate as we saw. But I wish he hadn’t taken that parting shot.
Eh. My guess is he felt it was true.

JB pretty much tried to give him the keys to the Ferrari. TWICE.

First time, he drove it into a tree.
Second time, he drove it into a ditch. Then a tree. Then a lake.

Yes, he had some injury issues, but that's not Syracuse's fault.
Sadly, it just didn't work out.

I'm not saying he's right.

I'm saying it's probably how he feels.

I don't know if that's an insult to the A10. The best team in the country before the season ended was from the A10. He plays at one speed and wasn't a fit based on how Boeheim has run his offense for close to a decade now. 2012 and before, he'd have fit in well when SU used their athleticism to get up and down the court.
Hmmm, we actually ran a lot last year. Our pace was up significantly so I don’t know what you’re talking about. JB adjusts system to the personnel. We’re not run and gun, but we run when there’s opportunity.

JB was trying to run. That was obvious from the beginning of the year. (Yes, UVA was the worst possible opening game for that team.)

any update on HoWash?

wouldnt mind him back this year for some PG depth.
