We Are GRob Bad

Like everyone else, I was disgusted by the punt call. Like everyone else, I abhor our offensive play calling. I do have a question, though... While it seems as though most predicted a 6 or 7 win season with a few optimistic souls calling the w's at 9, I wonder what most people would have predicted if they knew that Hunt would start poorly and then miss the remainder, Wilson would get hurt, the Long would miss a game, Kimble would be forced to play, the offensive would be decimated for most of the year, and Estime and Broyld would be out so much, etc. This is not a rationalization post, trust me. I am as disappointed as anyone. I just think if people knew about all these injuries before the season, most would have said 3-4 wins. I did see some bright spots as far as personnel go, but I would really like to see an aggressive, creative offensive mind hired to be the OC next year.
I can excuse the record due to injuries.

I can't excuse the bad decisions due to injuries though.

I do not know how things work, but I assume that Shafer got Gross to sign off on the McDonald demotion decision and the Lester anointment. If so, then Gross owns this also and it doesn't say much about him.

playing a bunch of more talented bigger stronger teams played in a row is a factor

If it were true, yes. We play good teams every year, we play teams with less talent every year, and we play half our games against teams with similar talent and size. This year is absolutely no different. FSU is not the team they have been, Clemson was not the team they were last year, ND is a decent team. Every year we play some bigger, faster, and more talented teams. Against half our schedule with similar talent we've lost, every single game. We are a terrible team.

the villinova game was hcss version of the west virginia groober opener

both games showed without a doubt that the men cant coach and do not deserve the job as hc

saw a team play with all its qb's injured and used a receiver at qb- they scored more points than we have in the last month- if that dont disgust you what does

Louisville,Clemson FSU and Notre Dame were much bigger and stronger than us and not a coincidence that those games we had the most injuries

We'll never agree on anything :D

there is 1 thing we can both agree on, Losing this many games sucks and hopefully this year is an aberration and we get back on track next year

as much as I hate Rutgers scheduling im open to it in 2016 so we can go 4-0 out of conference for once

We have experienced a complete meltdown of our offense. We are currently 120th in scoring offense - that puts us behind Kansas. UCONN is 123rd.
We are 112th in total offense.
We are 82nd in rushing offense.
We are 97th in passing offense.

I keep looking for positives and I can't find any. Injuries, yes of course, but Pitt, BC, UVA, NCS all played more freshman than we did.

The more I examine it, the less and less our problems appear to be all lack of a QB. IF, the problem is with scheme, we really are hoping to pull a rabbit out of a hat next year with Lester's version of an offense. All there remains is to hope there is a rabbit in there somewhere.

Love how people are getting on Lester when he is using McDonalds offense

Oh Lord

So you are advocating doing nothing?

if I was deciding id stay the course but force shafer to use extra spot to be available from McDonald to get an offensive coach with experience to help Lester fix the offense and look at strength and conditioning

I don't think he ever should have been hired. He is a D3 coach and it shows.

So you want to hire a coach to help a coach. To be clear you are a supporter of Lester? BTW what does this coach do and exactly how does he help an OC (his boss) who obviously can't do the job by himself?

im neither pro or con Lester I want to see what he wants his offense to be.
In a perfect world the coach im talking about getting is OL coach but also helps with OC stuff. Like it or not ,injuries or not OL took a huge step back this year

It shows because it is Mcdonalds d3 offense... You cant start a new system over night.
