The portal is open for 45 days. Why does everyone think everything has to happen the first couple days? Some players may still be thinking things over with parents and not wanting to rush into a decision. Some players may have an interest in a couple schools but those schools are still playing. Some players may be negotiating NIL here. There is no rush. Only about 1/3 of the number of players expected to hit the portal have done so. Although I’d expect those still playing not to do anything till seasons end.

Last year, Girard entered the portal 11 days after it opened and Edwards 28 days after.

I think fans are impatient because we were told by insiders that Syracuse declined to play in the NIT because there would be 5-6 players entering the portal so quickly there wouldn't be enough remaining scholarship players to play any NIT games this week.

Honestly an ideal outcome. Appreciate the intel.

We seemed to be tied to a lot of PGs and bigs, but Reynolds is the leading in the internet speculation game.

He doesn't have to be mobile to go in the portal-The portal can just transfer him like Space travel.

Idk if we’ve ever reached out but there’s that top 30 kid (Freeman’s high school teammate) that decommitted from Michigan. I saw speculation we might reach out given the Freeman and potentially Straughn connection?

Two of those five slots are taken by incoming frosh, Freeman and Moore.

So potentially up to 3 spots for transfers?

Q already gone though… Westry fills that role. Glad we are chasing a Big and recruiting over McLeod and Patterson. I just wonder but who gets bumped out of starting lineup? Assuming maybe Freeman comes off bench not the new big? You finish many games with Maliq at the 5 then Donnie at the 4 but don’t start it that way…

So Freeman, Maliq, Bell at F then Westry as the hybrid with Portal, JJ, Moore, and Cuffe at G. Portal 5, McLeod, Maliq and Patterson at the 5.

If we go all in$$ to get a high level PG and big then that can work still but there is a gamble in there too. Hopefully you have a legit 10 guys you can roll with every night or a 9.5 at least.
