Navy’s best bet was catching Notre Dame with a week to prep for the option. Having it be the first game of the season so they had extra time made a really tough task basically impossible.

I'm not convinced Notre Dame will be able to do much of anything on offense when not facing what is essentially an FCS DLine. Play the game in front of you, sure. But nothing about their passing scheme looks progressive or open.

Hartman is 16/19 for 227 yards and 3 TDs. I would have to imagine they’re running a conservative/efficient scheme because that’s clearly all that they need to do to dominate. Why give Ohio State film to work with?

I could be very wrong, just saying what I'm thinking. I also feel like "not putting things on tape" is a message board trope that doesn't reflect reality - it's not like you're running a completely different passing scheme week over week. There's no time for that.

Believe me, I hate ND as much as anyone, but they look very impressive today. They have that physical running game and O-Line from last year but now a highly polished and experienced QB in the mix. I see them having a 10-3/11-2 type year.

Kid is special, by far the best broadcaster to come from Newhouse since the 90s, Jason Benetti being a close second

Navy deserves to be bad for a decade straight after firing Ken Niumatalolo. Especially the way that they did it.
