There's zero reason for SU basketball to be compared to DePaul ... ever.

Back in the day, Ray Meyer's teams were one of the top teams in the land... year after year.

Creighton goes up 8 spots, UVA goes up 9 spots, Michigan does not drop after losing to unranked Indiana, UConn breaks into the top 25 after beating….who?

Top 25 teams lost 20 games last week. There was bound to be some movement. 11 of those losses were by top 15 teams causing lots of movement in the 7-15 range. Some of the losses were really bad. None of the shifts are that surprising.

And some teams were going to fall out after so so losses allowing a team like uconn to move in by simply winning.

And Duke moves up 6 spots to # 11 after losing to us. That is respect for both of our programs!!

They deserved that jump. There are so many pretenders with lofty records. Duke is better than SDSU and Wichita State, for sure. By the time Duke and SU play again, both could potentially be in the Top 5. Wichita State didn't get much love this week and are parked at #4. I think their lack of a schedule is starting to wear on the voters. The only reason they are up there is because of the respect they banked from the Final Four. Deservedly so, but it's time to start factoring in the schedule. One thing is certain, WS and SDSU have little margin for error. If either loses, they could tumble. A loss for either will be a bad loss no matter how you slice and dice it.
