So. Can we stop all this talk about getting rid of the coach?

Thank you.
Yeah and when Donnie comes back next year and Red pounds the portal, look out ….

Why is Houston ranked 10th with two 5 stars and one 3 star and we're ranked 6th with two 4 stars? Does getting a 3 star really knocking you down that much?

Isn’t it the average rating
I don't know, that's why I'm asking in what workd it makes sense that a team with 2 five stars is ranked behind a team with 2 four star.

So if I sign 4 five stars and a 1 star and you sign 4 four stars and a 2 star, you got a better class? I don't get how it computes.

And then, Youngstown State came along.
Getting blown out by a I-AA team next year is not a resume builder.

It's still early but it's possible Red is much better at recruiting than he is at coaching.
Much of Boeheim's early career he was an absolutely great recruiter and average coach. Mid career he was very-good-to-great at both. Mid-late career he was decent at recruiting and great at coaching. Late career he was asleep at the switch on recruiting and coaching skills deteriorated rapidly.

You can have very good results being great at either coaching or recruiting. If you're not great at one or the other, you're in for tough times. The best of the best are great at both.

What do decent recruits matter if we can’t win? If we don’t make the tourney the is yr, I still say move on. With proper coaching, this team can be ok.

I don’t know how one gets assigned the label of “great” recruiter. He was probably great for the then stature of the school. He never recruited with the “ blue bloods”. Never! We got the players who were left over, with a few notable exceptions. It really feels like you weren’t there for the early years. He was a brilliant, innovative coach who proved all the “experts” wrong with that incredible zone.
Anyone who thought it was going to be plug and play replacing a Hall of Famer were delusional or ignorant. Syracuse Basketball was a brand.

Great in theory. Red 'pounded the portal' this year, did not get high impact players, and has a mediocre roster as a result.
Eh… it’s pretty clear that this roster is not the roster red would have wanted if he had the NIL bags he wanted.
