What are Babers' strengths as a HC?

If we even have just a couple of kids healthy we win the last two games.

My biggest disappointment is the OL. They are really weak.
Plus we dont have a top wr on the team. All of them are average.
We need to recruit a true number 1 wr, a true DT, and a Center.
Pitt destroyed Vet all game long and Wes needs to sit. No idea why they continue to play him. He is really a liability. I actually dont think hes had one good play in the last 3 games.
Missing Ellis was huge. Dakota got destroyed and Hoeh couldn’t even manage to help Cruz. Remember this is an offensive line that was nominated for the best in the country, and the only acc unit up for the award. Seeing how much Mang and Hoeh are used in this offense Chris Elmore would have been a huge piece to the puzzle . I didn’t realize it at the time, but that was a key early season loss.

Gadsen is a #1 WR he is just able to be keyed on and taken out of the offense without any other threats. I believe Isiah Jones was going to be that reliable #2 that could have taken some of the pressure off. Also, I’m set with Jackson and Cooper. Cooper has more drops this year then catches. Yet every time Adams is in he is making a play. Why is that? Alford is a solid deep threat as a #3, but I think he could be more.

Losing Lockett was devastating. He was probably the 1 guy on defense we couldn’t loose. Since then we haven’t been able to stop the run. Also, how many times has anyone mentioned McDonald? Stefon Thompson was the exact opposite. He was an impact player thst got after the QB. Speaking off we can’t even get one of our better big play guys on the field because teams are never in passing downs. Yes, I’m talking about Linton who I feel has been great when he’s played.

You are absolutely right with Vet. For a 5 year starter it’s amazing he never improved.

Shrader and Williams being out or injured the last 3 games only magnifies the deficiencies. I understand this is football and people are going to get hurt. I always stuck to that when Shrader always managed to suffer mass injuries and even 2011 after curb stomping Geno Smith’s WVU and getting to 5 wins we couldn’t manage to win a game the rest of the year because we were decimated by injuries . Same happened in 2017 after beating Pitt and Clemson to get to 4-3. Didn’t win a game the rest of the year because of injuries . I have an awful feeling we are going down that old familiar road. I watch a lot of football and realize injuries are part of the game , but we seem to get those season Enders on an annual basis (Except 2018). I realize it’s because we don’t recruit well and we don’t have the depth other schools have so it’s quick to show up and quick to turn around a once promising season.

With that said I still think this was our best team since 2018. We have multiple future pros on both sides of the ball and all-league players. If there was one team I would have liked to see manage to stay some what healthy it would have been this one smfh

Organization, Delegates responsibility, Leadership, Got this team to 6-0 and damn close to 7-0. Now he lost the one cog in his offense that he can’t afford and the children in the peanut gallery are throwing tantrums after 2 bad games.

BABERS needs to be held ACCOUNTABLAH!
I didn't say anything about accountability. Just wondered what other SU fans consider Babers' strengths as an HC to be.

I have to ask: do you even watch SU basketball and football games?

I'll give you leadership. He certainly seems like a very solid leader of men.

To whom is responsibility for game & clock management delegated?

Re: Organization, we have multiple pre-snap motion penalties every week, and the punting game is still a disaster.

Respect your opinion and answer, but I disagree in part.

Punting game has been fine most of the year.
Pre snap penalties are something I see with every game I watch, including teams in the NFL.

At some point he needs to start recruiting better. Sure, there have been a few gems like Tucker, Cisco, Williams, Deuce, etc, but overall the talent level and depth just isn’t there.

You could say that about every SU Football coach going back 50 years.

Maybe it's not the coach?

Maybe it's something in the water.

Except for the end of Notre Dame every game has been there for the taking. The coach has us on the right track.

The QB play was absolutely awful today from what I saw. Can’t run the ball when your guy isn’t accurate either. This board overrated the backup based on 30 minutes of play.

It’s going to be an interesting contract negotiation. On the bell curve Dino has a track record of being a 4 to 6 win coach at the P5 level.

It doesn’t matter if you’re on the right track, if you’re not moving fast enough you get run over. We are getting run over.
Apparently, it's an incredibly long and winding track.

The defense has been great all year. We just need a little more on offense.

The main problem I’ve had with Dino is Clock and Game management. That wasn’t the problem the last two weeks. He‘s coaching a team wrecked by injury right now. I know every team has injuries, but we are seeing with our roster this year is absolutely insane. We are close.
