I was just looking at some Bowl projections and the one on $cout dot com had us not going to one?

Yes. Yes they do (fingers and toes crossed).Does a team that lost games 59-3 and 56-0 deserve a bowl?
(punches self in head)
I agree that it is worrisome. I know many here have said there is no way a P5 team gets left out while a mid-major gets a spot, but I'm not sold yet. There are too many scenarios where we get the shaft. As I said in another post, if that happens, we should just say ' it and hold the 15 extra practices anyway.Unbelievably I have now seen 3 different sets of projections where Syracuse is left out. I can't see it happening, but it is a bit worrisome
Unfortunately bowl tie-ins will ensure that teams that are inferior to us will get into bowls. Hopefully with the rest of the pool, common sense will rule and we will get selected before several 7-5 teams. If you take 90% of the non AQ schools and put them in AQ conferences, they are not bowl eligible. Yes that means teams like UB, Tulane, etc who will be going to a bowl. Put them in he ACC and they are bottom dwellers. Same goes for others, but those two just came to mind.Unbelievably I have now seen 3 different sets of projections where Syracuse is left out. Actually you bring up a great point. Becoming "bowl eligible" should result in 15 extra practices. Take the politics outI agree that it is worrisome. Yup - that was my point. Shouldn't penalize a team that is bowl-eligible just because there aren't enough slots. If that's the case, make bowl-eligibility a winning record (i.e., 7-5).Actually you bring up a great point. Becoming "bowl eligible" should result in 15 extra practices. Take the politics out
The answer is simple. Just add more bowls.Yup - that was my point. Shouldn't penalize a team that is bowl-eligible just because there aren't enough slots. If that's the case, make bowl-eligibility a winning record (i.e., 7-5).
I'll talk to my town's high school. I'm sure no one will be using the field on New Year's Day.The answer is simple. Just add more bowls.
Actually I think there are 3 new bowls next year. No jokeThe answer is simple. Just add more bowls.
Wasn't there a team last year that refused a bowl invite hoping they would get something better? The better invite never came and they were left out of a bowlid take the 1st bowl invite no questions asked. what is BR?
