I believe adding his improvement each game, we're looking at a 5 point swing. Replacing Swider or JBIII - which one?

But…that means…JB3 doesn’t start??

stress i need a drink GIF

Franks a lunch pail guy this year, an eager shot blocker and rebounder. He also gets off the floor like Otis Hill. He’s a baby hook and a drop step away from really contributing on O - something to look forward to for next year.

Offensively it wouldn't work well, defensively it would probably be an upgrade our head coach just doesn't like to experiment with different lineups especially when it means taking minutes away from his sons.

Similair to seeing Rick Jackson and AO on the floor at the same time as was done times before. I think it could work great now too given the other options on the roster.

Agree - no ability to create his own shot was the first issue that came to my mind. But he played his role well tonight. Don't want to take away from that.
Tbf, in terms of creating his own shot - he could probably throw up contested fade away, twisting, one handed 12 footers with his weak hand and go 2-9.

Worse. Frank's not a forward.

I don’t think Frank can’t play “forward.” We’ve had PFs who didn’t have a whiff of an outside game. Just because he doesn’t shoot jumpers like Jimmy or Benny isn’t critical when we have Joe, Cole, and Buddy to bomb.

Didn’t Rick play alongside Arinze, and TRoberts with Watkins, and… others someone else will have to help me unmisremember.

It was good to see what he did today. He looked out of his element last year as a very young freshman. Today, he looked like he belonged, and has clear upside. A bright spot in a loss.

I honestly think it would be worth running that lineup out to see if there is any potential there, but no amount of lineup change was going to turn this roster, as constructed, into a good team.

If you have Frank and Jesse on the court together for a lot of minutes you run the risk of getting to the end of the game with a front line of Buddy, Cole, and Jimmy Jr.

That said, baring foul trouble, I would be on board with replacing every single minute of Benny this year with Frank. There is no way you would end up with less productivity than Benny if you just gave Frank his 10 minutes per game.

Our most athletic players aren't at the skill level of good ACC basketball players and our skilled basketball players aren't at the plus level of ACC athleticism. The only guy really checking both boxes is out for the season.

well i think poor offense lost the team between 5 and 8 games this season

and the offense won about 3 or 4 (despite the defense)

so on the whole Id say the team would be 4 or 5 wins more

What about Benny and where he would be if utilized differently this year? I don't blame Jim for it all, but I do think the whole yank and pull action really works against some kids. It causes some young guys to play scared, which is what it looks like with Benny. It would be interesting to see how Buddy and Jimmy would react to it.

You'd have to live with Edwards turning it over a bunch he'd be the wing on offense not Frank.

I think Cole would do OK having a bigger ball handling role. The guards are the guards it wouldn't change much.

Good rebounding SU teams are an anomaly was never going to happen.

Benny hasn't had a good game yet for us just varying degrees of bad.

Neither was Rick Jackson, really.
The question is, can he catch and pass from the foul line to the low block?
Can he make a shot from the foul line? At 6-10, he should be able to shoot over most people.
