What would our record be if Frank started alongside Jesse from game one on?

I have been wanting Frank to get some run at forward since the beginning of the season. Maybe next year. Depending who we have next year, I would love to see Frank back up at center and also get some minutes at forward. The guy deserves 25 minutes per game next year, maybe more. 10-15 at center and 10-15 at forward would be nice. We'll see what the roster looks like next year, but it looks like we will have two guys at center coming back that will be reliable and experienced.

I cam't believe we haven't seen it yet . We've been a .500 team all year and I think it would be a big improvement . Sit Jimmy. What does Jimmy bring to the table that Frank can't? Frank would bring toughness, rebounding , blocked shots, way more athletic ability and someone above the rim. Jimmy brings none of those things to the game.

Benny hasn't had a good game yet for us just varying degrees of bad.
I don't mean this towards you, Frankie, but I really get sick of this narrative. He hasn't had a good game yet? Yes, true. Also, maybe he never will. However, being a 35 year diehard Cuse fan, I know that Jim doesn't do well with some kids. This whole yank and pull when you make a mistake, just doesn't work for some players. It just doesn't. Do you think it would work well with his son, Jimmy? Because he should have been yanked and pulled so many damn times this year but isn't. But he's been good? Consistently? To say Benny hasn't been good is a joke. Give him some damn run, then let's see.

We would be four on five on offense.

I understand that's your take, I've seen it on other threads so thanks for that. However, I (and many others) see it differently. It's funny how some here like to label a player based on little opportunity. Maybe, just maybe, if the HOF coach would give some more minutes, we would see that they are much better than what they show in limited "yank and pull" time. Sit the damn brothers for just a few damn minutes and let others actually show what they can do. My gawd, it really isn't that complicated is it?

He cannot shoot. They practice every day, the players have been our our staff's radar for years before they get to campus. Frank isn't suddenly going to become Hakim Warrick unleashing some unknown ability in a game that's he's kept hidden for years.

We have a recruitment and retainment problem, but JB isn't stupid.

To say Benny hasn’t been good is a fact. It’s fair to make the argument he should play more. He can still be judged by the minutes he has played.

Obviously. The point is, what contributed to where we are? In my opinion, Benny bares the majority of the responsibility, but Boeheim should own some too. I don't think he's handled Benny well.

And per any and all analytics I’ve seen, we‘re currently four on five on defense

Jimmy’s BPM overall is 2.5. Frank is .7. Yes Franks is better defensively, .4 to -.4. But that’s as a center. What would it be as a forward?

Yet against Wake JB went with Jimmy at C with the game on the line over Frank.

Then in OT put Frank at C and the D immediately improved.

What does any of that have to do with the post I was responding too and my response?

You are good at deflecting. When Cusefsn0307 did this to you last week you just stopped posting in that Villanova thread.

This is showing that Frank could put better defensive numbers at forward and it wouldn’t matter.
The HC doesn’t care about numbers fhat don’t backup what he wants to do.

Jimmy can score points. He is also poor defensively.
If Frank played forward based on his current defensive numbers its likely he is better than Jimmy defensively. He could be better definitely and if Edwards was available he wouldn’t get those forwards minutes.

Jimmy is getting his 34+ MPG.

This team’s biggest problem is defense. This HC doesn’t rotate offense/defense.

I deflected? LOL. You must not read your own posts. And we don’t know how Frank would be defensively at forward nor offensively.

It was an obvious blunder by JB. He realized it as much as anyone, as he’s played Junior at C once or twice since (albeit briefly and when the games were out of reach).

Okay.
Then maybe the HC should play JBA or Chaz Owens at forward for defensive reasons.
JBA has a positive DBPM.
That would help the defense.

There are ways to improve the defense. We don’t have to play a bad defensive player 35+ MPG.
When defense is our biggest weakness.

I think the HC has been inconsistent this season.

He says defense is the problem and doesn’t rotate offense/defense when it can help the team.
I wouldn’t want Frank at for a majority of the game but our options are limited.
Now without Jesse it makes no sense.
We used to have more players who could contribute.
We don’t this season and when this team has the margin for error it does we can’t afford mistakes like Jimmy at C in the last 10 seconds defending a lead.

It happened one time and no one is denying it. Move on.

I would love to here Bees say this.
You do.
I give you credit for that.
He won’t. He picks the high ground and always tries to pin people on what they say and when anyone comes at him will just say its not related to his post so will just ignore it.

You will admit when the HC makes mistakes. I give you that and honestly I don’t expect anyone to be perfect but JB will take shots at people so he deserves it to be turned on him.
He has gone 2 entire senior classes of students at Syracuse University without playing a home conference game as a ranked team.
Buddy is the only player on the team to be part of a regular season game as a ranked Syracuse team and it was the first 4 games of his career.

The frustration is at the fact the other poster is good at defending the status quo. The reason the HC hasn’t had another Wake end game situation is we have had only 1 other game that was decided by 5 points or less.
In that game our kids completely flubbed an end of the game situation as well. Against Florida State at home.

When we make the tourney, average seed:
1980s: 3 seed
1990s: 5 seed
2000s: 4 seed
2010-14: 2 seed
2015-now: 10 seed

Pretty much says it all. Incredible run overall, but we’ve been very mediocre for 8 years now, with seemingly no end in sight. How long will we wait?

Lol. You’re a piece of work. Try replying to a post instead of trying to make someone else’s post say what you want it to.

We don't know that at all. All I know is it hasn't been tried and it's odd that it wasn't. You act like Jimmy is an offensive force, he's not. He has flaws and is not a typical Syracuse forward in any sense of the word that I've ever seen. JB was in a tough situation at that position when Benny never panned out. JB would probably explain it as the need to keep him as a backup center and foul trouble problems. But he did it with Arinze and Rick. And there's the fact that he'd have to bench his son. So we will never find out, but I think it would have been worth a try.
