Whatever happened to the release of the alternative uniforms?

Maybe the red sox should put some pin stripes into their repertoire...

Or the Pistons should go to teal, black, yellow, and red and put a flaming horse head on their jerseys. Crap, that happened.

I love it. It's such a you to Georgetown.

We take over your arena, we take your recruits, we take your gray, we take our show to the ACC and leave y'alls to fend for yourselves.

All they can do is stand there and watch as we eat their lunch.

You are living in a cave. Our players are wearing different sneakers in every single game. Some hoser said we should dump Nike and go to Addidas or whatever. I'm sure no high school phenom would ever worry about what fresh kicks he's going to wear on national TV. Never!

I can picture the Noel's and Vonleh's of the world thrilled that they don't have to wear the latest "Christmas Lebrons" or Melo M7s, or whatevers and instead get to sport the Addidas Andre Agassi Mullet Masters.

This stuff matters and it matters a lot.

Nah, he's right. Let's make it less fashionable to play basketball at Syracuse.

You imply that a kid who wants to wear a cool uniform must not want to win. That is an unwarranted Grand Canyon-sized leap of logic. These are not mutually exclusive goals. I want to work for a company with a good brand AND a good work environment and talented/competent employees. Your post ironically suggests you worry more about things other than winning.

hmm another internet head shrink-

i have every right to my opinion as you-but i dont practice head shrinking while surfing a internet sports forum-

quick run and find the internert speklling police

and i my whole life the only males ive known that cared about fashion were not good people or team players

Listen folks. Whether we like new unis or not, the publicity alone is good. Recruits go to Oregon just so they can wear the "cool" jerseys up there. If the players get into it, and Syracuse is a team leading the way, 12 year olds might start sporting that gear like I sported Oakland Raiders Starter gear back in the day when I didn't even like the Raiders. The combination of a Jay-Z/Melo I dynasty endorsement and a reputation for having "cool" uniforms will make every young hooper talking syracuse in middle school. That's something that will help sustain a flow of top level recruits. No BS.
You are completely correct. I cant like this enough.

Lets just wait and see what they look like first? I know, gray is errr questionable but maybe they look great...

Of love it if they brought out a cool unique uni, but unless they do something radical, making the same uni they wear now in gray is basically a copy of the Texas uni they came out with already. I think the UT uni had been out for 2-3 years already.

There are more changes than just color. It's a new line of college unis.

Gray is dumb as hell as it is a color that has zero to do with SU. They could be the sharpest and coolest uni's ever, but if the color is gray, SU should sack up for once and tell Nike no thanks. If they want to do a retro type look, they should do pink and green as I think those were the very original SU colors before the name Orangemen even came about. :)

Djrog, does that mean that our normal every day uniform will be changing as well? In other words - we may have a special color scheme rolled out for one game, but the base uniform is now a new design also? That could mean some new fabric or something not visible, or it could be mean visual changes as well.

Bottom line: Will our every day uniforms look different in anyway after this unveil?

As of now, the everyday jersey is remaining the same with this jersey being rolled out for 1 game in Feb.

These things can be fluid however...depending on how they are received (ha).

For just one game only, I think black would look cooler with orange writing

Way to avoid all relevant issues in the discussion and resort to attacking me personally. Irony again. Your comments suggest you care more about fashion than anyone (you make judgments on whether a 14-year-old is a good person based on whether his opinion on fashion). Your brain clearly can't afford to shrink anymore, so I'll stop practicing "head shrinking."
