What's the best game you've ever seen in the Dome?

Best game for me was Oklahoma 94. First time in the Dome for a game, just blown away by the crowd, the comeback, etc. I had been indoctrinated in "big time football" at Alumni Stadium and thought the expansion there was bigtime. The Dome blew the experience away.

For me the 94 Miami game was the most anticipation of any game I attended there. When Dan Conley intercepted the pass in the first quarter, that was the loudest I have ever heard the Dome. It was bedlum.

Best Game: 1987 WVU because of the stakes involved against an Eastern Football rival.

Most Fun Game: 1987 PSU. They owned us for years. Right off the get go we completely dominated them until Mac called the dogs off. We could have named the score that day. Their fans were totally demoralized by the butt whooping we put on them,
Yep, I was at both of them and agree totally. The PSU game was really special for me. My dad was a PSU alum so we were in their fan section. My 2 little brothers were so cute in their full PSU football uniform including helmet! Needless to say I was orange head to toe and was the only one standing as Donnie Mac pulled the ball out of (Moose's?) the RB's stomach and hit a lonesome Rob Moore to start the game! What a couple games and what a year!

The go-ahead Mason to Harrison bomb was the loudest I've personally ever heard the Dome.

The PSU game was special for me because my first child was born the day before - she was born 15 days late. My wife insisted that I still go to the game so I didn't argue. Her family is from PA and are huge PSU fans and it was a very sweet victory. I still have the game on VHS tape although my kids taped over part of it lol.

Worst game: 2013 GA Tech (not a Dome game)

Here’s the stash of tickets that I bought for that game for SyracuseFan.com and the local alumni club. Yes, it was awkward walking around with that much “cash”.

It was a horrible game. The only SU game that I’ve walked out of. At the end of the 3rd quarter the score & rain drove us back to our tailgate location.

98 was my freshman year.

Got VT, Miami and we should have UT.

VT obviously had the best ending and really the best second half. Miami we just blew the doors off and it was senior night.

UT got so many god awful calls. That game was devastating.

That was one of the worst coaching performances by SU in my lifetime. That was a very average GT team that made us look ridiculous with that triple option.

I was on the 50 yard line, 3 rd level, 5 th row. I could feel the concrete stands moving with everyone jumping up and down . It was unbelievable. I couldn’t talk for two weeks afterwards I was yelling so much

I was end zone for both. 2nd level for Ped and 3rd for Florida. Setting the tone early was frickin awesome!

That 1998 Tennessee team got so many lucky breaks that year. Between the calls against us, the absolute miraculous fumble against Arkansas where their QB just lost his balance untouched and gave away the ball when they had the lead with a minute left, and then Chris Weinke was injured for the national title game.

After Penn State, Pitt, and Georgia Tech, there must have been a sick feeling in the AD's office. Pretty clear at that point that they'd hired the wrong coach.

the loudest i ever heard was 1998 the last drive by tennessee to beat us, and the wvu game two pt conversion for the win

Annnnnd you can see the refs come over the Coach P to assess the celebration penalty that cost us the game.

Such BS.
Really outrageous. Missing the extra point was the cherry on top. That game should have ended as a tie. Would have been a nice tie bookend with the Texas one the year before.

speaking of 93/94. I should know the answer to 94 b/c i was on campus but there wasn't a syracusefan back then. was there a legit reason why we weren't in a bowl game for either season? 93 i kinda get b/c it was unmet expectations but the 94 team kinda played to its expectations and finished 7-4. Was there some anti Syracuse bowl issues then?

The '92 Miami game was my senior year, and to this day is the most intense sporting event I have ever been to - including the 2003 Final Four, myriad Big East tourneys, World Series and others.

When Gedney was tackled, it wasn't clear for a moment from the student section on the opposite side of the Dome whether he got in or not, but then the UM players were celebrating, and the Dome seemed as if it literally deflated. Just sat there for a long time trying to process what just happened.

The 2 Dan Conley picks that day were the loudest I ever heard the Dome. Marcus Lee was a beast in the 2nd half IIRC. Graves throwing up - the original puke game. That UM team was completely stocked with NFL players, especially on D. And we should have beat them.

The '94 Oklahoma game was pretty amazing for the comeback (even though we lost) considering expectations for that team were pretty low.

The Kirby Dar Dar game was the most fun game - we dominated from the opening kickoff and was just a big party.

I think Miami 92 was the most exciting game I've seen in the dome. Weird because we lost, but it was soooo good, and litterally shaking. Every young fan needs to experience the heartbreak of watching their team fight but fall short. It made the big wins later so satisfying.

The only bad part about the Oklahoma game was the final score. I think the were down by almost 30 points at the half and remember saying to my dad- I was 15 at the time-we should go. He said we’ll go when the games over. Thanks dad!

Mason was fantastic in the second half. He had an absolute cannon for an arm.
