Nationally, wonder what percentage of players (20%?) entering Portal Madness will later regret the decision.

Pretty sure once you enter the portal the player has relinquished his or her scholarship.

The school can accept you back. They also could fill your spot with another transfer and not have a scholarship available.

Don't know -but assume coaches with half their team in the Portal will actively seek replacements.
A bird in the hand and all that-
A policy of "standing by" to allow a player to decide to return seems high risk.
Would be a race -player to find a landing spot vs. coach signing a replacement.

Kadary may be having talks with the coaches.

Not good news to promise a start for Joe. If he doesn't want to give Kadary the key at least tell them both they will compete for that spot but both will have significant minutes. Joe is the only one who can fill both 1 & 2 and still get significant minutes though. If it were me I will give Kadary the start at 1 but promise Joe he will get 30 minutes combined from both positions.
