While not a sellout

I like the 3:30 pm kickoffs because it gives me plenty of time to get oiled up for the game. My tailgate group in Raynor Lot were feeling no effects of the cold and absolutely no pain before entering the Dome. Yesterday is how Syracuse University Football should be all the time. I will never forget yesterday and I was there for WVU in the 80's, VT and Miami in the 90's and Clemson on that Friday night. It truly felt like Syracuse University Football was back yesterday. Go Orange!!!!!!

Yeah, that meter they put up on the screen is phony. If not, we shattered the record for loudest crowd (Seattle or Arrowhead?). There's no way we hit 139 db, which is what it showed.
But, it was damn loud. I put ear plugs in near the end of the 3rd because my ears were starting to hurt.
The energy just kept building after we tied it up, so that the entire 4th quarter it seemed we were on our feet almost every play. The Grant fumble return was right up there with the loudest Dome plays I've ever been present for (includes all of 1987, sold out Miami in 1994).
Even the Wave made it fully around 4 times.
By the way, can we have someone at SU get this phony db meter right? The fans scream and get loud with it entering the 4th quarter, but sometimes it couldn’t come at a worse time (if we have the ball). Do it on every 3rd down and entering the 4th quarter if the other team has the ball

It would have been better to be done on defense and not on offense……..
Is what Is is... wouldn't have made it around once... due to time on any timeout, or get organized.
Was pretty cool in the end... Couldn't believe it went so much and so far.

And how about getting a real decibel meter. Put it up in the corner of the dome. And yes, the scoreboard operators need to be better. Quiet on offense. Get the crowd going on defense. It's not hard.

I watched the first half from the 300s and the second half from 115. My left ear was ringing from the time I left the Dome until this morning when I woke up. I don't recall that ever happening before. What a fantastic atmosphere. Heckling Michael Irvin from the stands was an added bonus.

No. Defense is about making noise. Too many fans just get mesmerized by the wave and forget a game is going on.
