Who could be the 6th ACC team?

D-1A football + starting a women’s team alone + Title IX = No men’s team.

If they’re going to have both women’s and men’s teams, they’re also going to have to start field hockey based on what their president says in that statement.

unaware of obligations/requirements but a team or teams from the colonial conference would seem to be good candidates.. Be a jump in competition in most sports for these schools but they'd adjust n certainly their name would gain wider exposure being part of ACC. Delaware, Hofstra, Towson, Fairfield to name a few. Know Elon womens lax already play Duke, Unc n Va

The ACC doesn't offer partial memberships for one sport. Unless you have an FBS level football team, you need not even apply.

Unfortunately, this seems to be the case. I've been advocating taking in Utah until the Pac-12 goes for MLax.

Break. Full Stop.

A poster on our board claims that Ga Tech will move from MCLA to D-1 within 12-18 months. I don't know how he learned this, but he's usually pretty knowledgeable enough to be rated as one of our board's "Gurus".
