I'm assuming he wasn't given a choice because it would be a bad look if he won and made a bowl game and was still fired.

Actions speak louder than words. He always came across as a salesman to me, this just reinforces my instinct about him.

It's a pointless debate anyway. He didn't want to coach because he's being fired for not winning enough. Once they tell you are fired it's over. Don't really care if he wanted to coach or not, we are moving on and so is Dino. If the players are upset, that's between them and Dino. and yes maybe Dino thought a shot at 6-6 would be good enough but I am glad it isn't at the end of the day

I personally would not want to coach as a lame duck, and he also would want to get a jump on a job search. Could be some family issues, could have several reasons.
