What other school employs an AD and the AD doesn’t have control over the athletic department and who coaches the team.
If the BOT has any influence over who the HC then we shouldn’t employ an AD and waste the money paying them.

I don’t hate the Hopkins angle. When did he leave? When did the decline start? I think the two are tied together. Either him or a young energetic coach who has been successful. I love Red and GMac but the band aid needs to be ripped off.

I don’t think even Francessa or Patrick could be sympathetic to him. And what would it matter? Those guys aren’t tasked with rebuilding our program.

Wildhack doesn’t have to fire him. He has to guide JB toward making ‘the right decision.’ And if JB doesn’t, then he gets fired. Ostensibly, JB wants public perception to be that he retired, so he takes the carrot. If there was a plan for another year, you pay him for that year, fine. More gifts. Whatever.

But JB’s stewardship of our program has to end before the 2023 season.
