Will McNabb reach the Pro Football Hall of Fame?

2004 for sure and maybe the stretch of 2000-2004. Was also 6 time Pro Bowl. Also, there are plenty of guys in the HOF that weren't MVP or don't have a ring.
Pro Bowl is a popularity contest that is meaningless these days, especially to the hall of fame voters. How many times was he ALL-PRO. That's the one that matters. And McNabb was NEVER All Pro. Nor did he ever win a league MVP

I can be swayed in either direction so put me in 50-50. a superbowl probably would of clinched it

Nope, just means slow news day

That's true -but doesn't have anything to do with what I said.

You can be objective about both players. Both players were GREAT when they were at SU. McNabb had a nice NFL career but anyone who thinks he is an NFL Hall of Fame player is nuts. I mean I can say he was a good player but not a hall of fame player. Nassib was a very good college QB who had an outstanding career at Syracuse...he isn't an NFL back-up though in my opinion. I say lots of positive things about lots of former SU players in the NFL...people LIKE YOU only choose to respond to these though and ignore my positive posts about guys like Art Jones or how Marvin Harrison got ROBBED Last year by the Hall of Fame and I provided the stats to back it up. That's on you as to what you respond to. If you want to ignore my positive posts and ONLY shine a light on the few negative ones, I can't stop ya but don't lie about the reality of the situation.

No, you take every opportunity to slam an SU player. It's one thing to have an opinion such as many here have expressed why they don't think he'll be in the HOF. But you instead say something like he'd have to buy a ticket to get in. In other words, a shot at him.

He is, without question, the greatest QB in Eagles history. The fact that this next sentence says he still shouldn't make the hall of fame says a lot about Eagles history.

Sorry, love Donovan but you give no respect to Randall Cunningham. Those two are tied, IMHO.. Jaws and van Brocklin right behind.

Oh don't be so sensitive! Lighten up!

And don't say I take every opportunity to slam former SU players. Tom Coughlin IS going to the Hall of Fame. Marvin Harrison IS going to the Hall of Fame. Dwight Freeney IS going to the Hall of Fame. I praise current players like Art Jones and Chandler Jones. Justin Pugh was the 6th offensive linemen taken in the 1st round last year and is the BEST olinemen of last years draft. Can make a case he should have gone #1 overall if KC wanted the best offensive linemen in that draft. So stop making stuff up about how I am only negative. You just choose to ignore those posts and don't respond but only shine a light on something like that. AND sorry, McNabb is NOT even close to a Hall of Fame player. Nassib isn't an NFL QB. Those are just facts! I'm sorry if I say it in a colorful way and the truth hurts ya a bit.

I was talking about the fact that you can just look at one year when you evaluating a player, you have to take their entire career into account.

Let's recap:
You "Was he one of the three best qbs in the league at any time?"

Me: "Yes. 04 and possibly 02"

You: "YEAH, but he's not a hall of famer"

Ok..Then why ask the question? It's because you were trying to fit an agenda then got caught and had to move the goalposts. It's ok. I agree that he's not a HOF'er. We was top 3 for a couple years though

I didn't mean one year, I mean over the time he was in the league. He had a couple of really good seasons, but it doesn't mean he is a hof. Brady,Manning,Favre, Warner, Brees were all better. Eli Manning has a better shot of getting in than mcnabb does. because he has won two sbs . I would love to see it happen, because it would be great for su, but he is not a hof.

"at any time" doesn't mean over the time he was in the league.

He will get in later in his life not a first ballot much like little. He wasn't the greatest but he won, put up great numbers but the big one alluded him and Super Bowl wins are what matter most. I mean come on, how is joe Namath in the hall?

Not even close. How many playoffs games did Randall win?

Granted, Donovan's teams won more playoffs than did Randall's teams, but I didn't realize that you were using playoff wins as the basis of your criteria of who was the better quarterback. My criteria is based on what quarterback brought that air of anticipation and excitement every time they stepped out onto the field--Donovan and Randall were tied when it came to that, IMHO.
